Grant Hauschild vs. Andrea Zupancich rematch

Crying Grant Hauschild is returning for a rematch with Babbitt Mayor Andrea Zupancich. Hauschild is best known for his emotional speech on the Senate Floor over last session's assault weapons ban. A portion of that speech is included in this Fox9 report:

It's difficult to handicap this race because I don't have the connections in the area that I once had. Hauschild might get helped by this vote in Duluth but get hurt in Iron Range cities like Hibbing, Eveleth, Virginia, Babbitt and Internationak Falls.

Zupancich will benefit from being Babbitt's popular mayor and from being part of a group of Iron Range mayors that endorsed President Trump in 2020. Zupancich would be wise to spotlight Hauschild's votes for some of the DFL's wildest bills. For instance, Hauschild voted for increasing the size of Minnesota's "state government by nearly 40% when they grew the state’s two-year budget from $52 billion to $72 billion." Then State Sen. Hauschild voted to raise Minnesotans' taxes and fees by $10,000,000,000. That forced Mayor Zupancich to make a buch of difficult decisions to keep their budget balanced while still providing Babbitt with the services they require. This Hauschild vote was for an unconstitutional bill if signed into law:

The Minnesota Senate passed a comprehensive gun violence package on Monday that includes a ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, marking the first time that such a measure has ever come to the floor of either chamber in the legislature. The bill, sponsored by DFL Sen. Zaynab Mohamed of Minneapolis, passed by a narrow 34-33 vote entirely along party lines. Supporters of the bill, including Annunciation Church families and the parents of the late Harper Moyski, watched the proceedings from the Senate gallery and cheered after the legislation's passage.
Being pro-gun control on the Iron Range is as popular as being pro-arson at a firefighters convention. It isn't a good fit Being a popular mayor from the Range is a good fit.
On her website, Zupancich describes herself as "pro-mining" and says "today, the need for domestic mining is greater than ever" and "I will fight to cut through the red tape that has stalled projects for decades and bring good-paying jobs back to northern Minnesota." Additionally, the Republican mayor says she "will fiercely defend your Second Amendment rights against any attempt to infringe upon them and will champion legislation that protects law-abiding gun owners." Zupancich also says she wants fewer mandates on local governments and "reasonable limits" on the governor’s emergency powers. She also pledged to support law enforcement and work to root out fraud in state government.
Mayor Zupancich sounds like a good fit for St. Paul. Eliminating mandates is a great first step.

Proof that Tim Walz doesn't care about fraud or other crime

Anyone that thinks that Tim Walz, Minnesota's DFL governor, doesn't care about preventing crime or fraud hasn't read this article . Alpha News is reporting that "The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) has confirmed that Dylan Adams, the fiscal policy analyst caught on video vandalizing Teslas in Minneapolis, is still employed by the state — meaning Minnesota taxpayers are footing the bill for his salary. In response to Alpha News inquiries, a DHS spokesperson said: "Dylan Adams is a current employee." Apparently, the Walz administration doesn't care that it's employing a vandal in its Department of Human Services. As for whether Adams "has faced consequences for racking up more than $21,000 in damage during work hours , the agency offered little transparency.
