Facts are stubborn things, affordability edition

Democrats have run on the issue of affordability since the 2025 elections. It's time that we rolled out some stubborn things known as facts. The Bureau of Economic Analysis reported that GDP grew by 4.0% in Q4 of 2020. Meamwhile, the Bureau of Economic Analysis reported that GDP grew by 6.4% in Q1 of 2021. Instead of being smart and doing nothing or, at maximum, making minor adjustments, then taking credit for the Trump economy, Democrats blew the entire thing up. BTW, we were in a recession at the end of Q2 of 2022. FYI- Inflation had jumped to 9.1% as of July 1, 2022. Gas-at-the-pump had jumped to $5.22/gallon.

To drop from an economy growing at 6.4% to being in a recession in a year isn'tthe type of job performance I want in my next economist. Going from inflation of 1.4% to 9.1% in 18 months is pathetic. I don't want that on my next inflation czar's resume. Talking to the people:

I'm not buying the Democrats' affordability schtick. The Democrats care as much about affordability as Eskimos care about short sleeve shirt styles. Further, Democrats are famous for being economic illiterates. As weird as Tim Walz is, Amy Klobuchar is just as economically illiterate as Tim Walz. As unlikely as it sounds, Amy Klobuchar would be Gov. Walz's third economic term. She'd be a disaster. Outmigration from Minnesota would continue. Further, energy prices would continue rising. That's because the DFL (and the DNC nationwide) are invested inclimate change as an existential world threat.

The DFL and DNC budgets aren't as much budgets as they area series of campaign slush funds. Government is the vehicle that Democrats fund their campaigns.

Proof that Tim Walz doesn't care about fraud or other crime

Anyone that thinks that Tim Walz, Minnesota's DFL governor, doesn't care about preventing crime or fraud hasn't read this article . Alpha News is reporting that "The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) has confirmed that Dylan Adams, the fiscal policy analyst caught on video vandalizing Teslas in Minneapolis, is still employed by the state — meaning Minnesota taxpayers are footing the bill for his salary. In response to Alpha News inquiries, a DHS spokesperson said: "Dylan Adams is a current employee." Apparently, the Walz administration doesn't care that it's employing a vandal in its Department of Human Services. As for whether Adams "has faced consequences for racking up more than $21,000 in damage during work hours , the agency offered little transparency.
