Active shooter situation in Minneapolis leaves 1 dead, 6 wounded

Multiple TV stations are reporting on an active shooter situation in downtown Minneapolis. KSTP is reporting "A law enforcement source says at least one civilian is dead after at least six people, including two police officers, were shot in downtown Minneapolis on Wednesday afternoon amid an active shooter situation. One officer was shot in the stomach, and another was shot in the leg, a city hall source said. A source close to 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS confirmed one officer is in surgery as of 5:39 p.m., adding the other officer received non-life-threatening injuries."

Fox9 is reporting "There is at least one person killed and six injured, including two officers, after a shooting at an apartment in downtown Minneapolis. Their conditions are unknown. Stay with FOX 9 for more information as it becomes available." KARE11's report is different, saying that "Two person are dead and at least five others were injured in a sh ooting Wednesday afternoon in a mass shooting in downtown Minneapolis, according to sources. KARE 11's Lou Raguse also confirmed that the shooter is dead. The City of Minneapolis said two police officers were injured in the shooting. At around 6:45 p.m., HCMC officials said both officers were in stable condition, and three people were in surgery."
