Donald Trump: Ceasefire is over

Better late than never. Still, it's too late in terms of letting Iran's theocrats and IRGC know who the boss in this relationship is. CBS is reporting "President Trump said the U.S. would likely launch more strikes against Iran Wednesday night, telling reporters at a NATO summit in Turkey 'we hit them very hard last night,' and 'we're going to hit them hard again tonight.'"

CBS is also reporting "Mr. Trump said, 'as far as I'm concerned, it's over,' when asked about the ceasefire with Iran. After an exchange of strikes by both countries, Mr. Trump called Iran's leaders "sick" and declared it 'a waste of time dealing with them.'"

I'm not interested in working on snother negotiated settlement. Trump is right. It's a waste of time dealing with these theocrats. They simply aren't trustworthy. My most favored outcomes would be locating the theocrats, the IRGC and the Basij, then take them out with a massive airstrike or to arrange a charter flight from Tehran to China or Russia, as long as it isn't staying in Iran. For 47 years, these theocrats and the IRGC have threatened that region. This is the time to rid Iran of this plague.

I'm not sure President Trump understands the gravity of the moment. Check the first minute of this out:

TRUMP: "As far as I'm concerned, it's done. I don't want to deal with them. I'll talk to our negotiators. They want to negotiate."
President Trump, this is YOUR CALL, NO ONE ELSE'S! With Iran, negotiating is weakness. PERIOD. FULL STOP!

In 1945, President Truman was faced with a historic decision. He ordered the dropping of 'the Bomb' on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Tens of thousands of Japanese people died but American troops were spared. Two days later, Japan surrendered.

This isn't an exact parallel by any stretch but it's worth examining. Why waste time negotiating with liars? Vanquish the theocrats, the IRGC and the Basij. Finish this war as soon as possible. Period.
