The wages of Identity politics is dropping test scores

If there's anything that's clear from this Alpha News article, it's that a) identity politics are a waste of time and b) Twin Cities' activism has hurt hundreds of thousands of children. The article reports "At Minneapolis North High School, where state data show just 1% of students are proficient in math and 15% in reading, commencement speakers devoted significant attention to land acknowledgments and topics ranging from the school’s 'unapologetically black' identity to the impact of Operation Metro Surge." It isn't difficult to understand why public school test scores are dropping precipitously.

These parents are failures! Sugarcoating that truth hurts these students. Why aren't these parents ashamed of these test results? Don't they take pride in their children's academic performance? These students' performance is terrible. This KARE11 report says that 1 student self-deported:

Teacher Tom Lachermeier invoked Operation Metro Surge during the commencement ceremony, telling graduates that federal immigration enforcement actions were among the defining hardships of their senior year. "This group of young men and women has endured many trials and tribulations just to be here today," Lachermeier said, including "watching ICE invade our city, take our community members, family members, and even one of our classmates away."
Mr. Lachermeier lied to those students. ICE didn't invade Minneapolis. It enforced U.S. law. As for whose land it is, that's impossible to tell. There's been countless numbers of wars between the various tribes. The land belongs to the people who currently have the deed.

The bottom line is this: the parents have failed their children. An uptick in graduation rates is worthless because test scores have dropped mightily. PS- identity politics failed.

Minnesota Department of Education admits it's corrupt

I couldn't help but smile when I read the headline to this article . The title is "BREAKING: Minnesota Department of Education to strengthen hiring practices — after Alpha News reports." Thank God for well-run government agencies. Under DFL management, the Minnesota Department of Education, aka MDE, has turned inot an embarassment. Thank God Alpha News takes oversight seriously.
