Minneapolis 2026: Murderapolis 2.0?

There's a class of people that are loving what's happening in Minneapolis. After reading this Alpha News article, I'm certain that those people are classified as criminals or felons. The article opens by saying "Another violent weekend in Minneapolis left two people dead and several injured in at least ten shootings across the city during Pride weekend." Minneapolis could get mistaken for Chicago on weekends like last weekend.

The article continues, saying "The violence began with a homicide early Friday morning on the 2500 block of Clinton Avenue. Police responded about 12:45 a.m. to reports of gunfire and found a man gravely injured, who later died at the scene. In a statement, police said they found evidence of gunfire in the area." Mayor Jacob Frey has failed Minneapolis. The sad thing is that other potential mayoral candidates are just as bad or they're worse.

Saturday shootings

At 12:30 a.m. Saturday, police found a male shot near Mortimer’s bar on the 2000 block of Lyndale Avenue South, the same block where a shooting murder took place last weekend.

Minutes later, another shooting occurred about 12:45 a.m. on the 700 block of Penn Avenue North, where a man was reportedly shot in the leg.

About 2 a.m. Saturday, there was a shooting report at 45th and Lyndale Avenue North, according to the Minneapolis police 911 dashboard.

About 3:30 a.m. Saturday, a person with a gunshot wound showed up at Children’s or Abbott Hospital, according to the Minneapolis police 911 dashboard.

In this TV report, the anchors kept talking about "minor gunshot wounds":

Is a minor gunshot wound one where the shooting victim spends a week in the hospital instead of dying at the scene? Is it a situation where the victim never fully recovers but doesn't die? That phrase sounds like a euphemism. It's time for some old-fashioned honesty.

It's worth noting that 2 of the gunmen were 14 and 15 years old.
