Is Chief Judge Patrick Schiltz a biased judge?

I hate thinking that a federal judge might not be impartial in the administration and application of federal law, especially when it applies to issues of homeland security. Still, that's what I'm forced into considering now that U.S. District Court Chief Judge Patrick Schiltz has granted a "motion to quash" subpoenas that "were served Jan. 20 on the offices of Gov. Tim Walz, Attorney General Keith Ellison, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, St. Paul Mayor Kaohly Her, and the Hennepin and Ramsey County boards of commissioners."

The reason I'm questioning Chief Judge Schiltz's ruling is because "Some reporters have highlighted Schiltz’s past donations to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota, which provides free legal services to illegal immigrants." When there's smoke regarding illegal aliens, there's fire. That's like the judge that contributed to Joe Biden's presidential campaign, then ruled against Donald Trump. Why is a judge who has a soft spot for illegal aliens allowed to hear a case that involves grand jury testimony of high-ranking political officials involved in "an investigation into whether they obstructed immigration enforcement"?

It's one thing if these officials invoke their Fifth Amendment privileges. It's another when judges eliminate that investigative tool against major public officials who have the responsibility of enforcing immigration laws. Further, this is a purely partisan ruling since these officials each believe in sanctuary jurisdiction laws. This faux hearing highlights the fact that Mayor Frey and AG Ellison think that illegal aliens have the right to live as citizens:

Frey has stated that these illegal aliens are "neighbors." He knows they aren't citizens and that some of them have been arrested in Minnesota for violent crimes. That isn't anyone I want living next door.
