How Tim Walz, Keith Ellison protected us from fraud
When it comes to fighting fraud, nobody fights it like Tim Walz and Keith Ellison. This investigative report states "Minnesota Medicaid fraud: Claims against 7 providers date to 2020. Why were charges filed in 2026?
Court records show fraud allegations against seven Minnesota providers date back years before charges were filed. The allegations are tied to a nationwide fraud operation involving hundreds of suspects and more than $6.5 billion. In Minnesota, the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit said it built cases around seven providers accused of billing more than $700,000 for personal care work they either did not provide or were not licensed to provide. Charging documents against some of those seven providers say the alleged fraudulent activity dates back to 2020, so 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS asked the state why charges weren’t filed until 2026."
Predictably, the AG's office deployed the 'government shuffle'tactic to protect themselves:
"Generally speaking, the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office receives Medicaid fraud referrals well after the fraudulent conduct has occurred," the AG’s office said, adding that it received these cases in 2024.In other words, these bureaucrats are well-trained in bureaucratic tactics, which isn't surprising. Check this out: Walz and Ellison DIDN'T protect us from fraud. I don't trust either of these 'public servants' because they're slippery as hell. The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS), which oversees Medicaid payments, offered a similar timeline, saying it referred two of the cases to the Attorney General’s Office in 2024 and "cut off payments to many of these providers two years ago or more." However, when it comes to the charging timeline, DHS referred 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS back to the Attorney General’s Office.
