Gas prices continue dropping

In yet another defeat for Democrats, gas prices fell for the third straight week. According to the article, "The national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline declined for three consecutive weeks, dropping from $4.56 per gallon on May 21 to $4.12 per gallon on Thursday." That's a drop of 44 cents a gallon in 3 weeks. With speculation that the war will soon be over, prices will likely continue dropping next week.

The article also reports "Lower gasoline prices are 'delivering some relief to drivers during the busy summer travel season,' the American Automobile Association (AAA) said in a June 11 statement. 'Gas prices typically peak around this time of year, but uncertainty surrounding the Strait of Hormuz makes this year more unpredictable. Pump prices remain at four-year highs, but the national average is currently far from the record set on June 11, 2022, of $5 per gallon.'" This shows a short history of crude oil prices:

Brent crude oil futures prices shot up after the war began, hitting a high of over $126 per barrel on April 30. Oil was trading at $87.44 per barrel as of 6:50 a.m. EDT on Friday, up from around $72 per barrel on Feb. 27, the day prior to the breakout of the war. Prices have remained below the $100 level every trading day this month.
Prices are likely to continue dropping because we're nearing the end of the summer high-travel season and because we're nearing the end of the season when boutique fuels are most in use. During summer, boutique fuels tie up much of the refineries' time. After Labor Day, the percentage of time used on refining these special oils drops significantly.

Are people noticing the drop? Check this out:

That report is from San Diego so it isn't as representative as the Midwest or the Rust Belt. Still, they're noticing, if for no other reason than that prices aren't still going up.

This news won't help Democrats. It isn't beyond the Democrats' tactics to lie. Still, each time you pull into a gas station, it's like its own commercial. The pump speaks for itself. Period.
