Tim Walz's final signature defeat

Sunday night at midnight was the adjournment of Minnesota's legislative sessions in the Minnesota House and Minnesota Senate before this year's midterm elections. Because the DFL's gun control bill went down to defeat, it marked Gov. Tim Walz's final signature defeat. Gov. Walz pushed hard for the assault weapons ban legislation. He fell far short. Alpha News reported "Walz pushed for the package of gun-control laws, which included a ban on modern semiautomatic firearms and a prohibition on so-called 'ghost guns' after the shooter opened fire during a back-to-school mass held at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis on the morning of Aug. 27, killing two children and wounding many more before committing suicide."

This touched off the DFL's biggest meltdowns. Aisha Gomez, the House DFL Taxes Comittee Co-Chair, charged at Rep. Elliott Engen, making several inappropriate comments. The comments were inappropriate, though not surprising. The DFL apparently thinks that swearing is proof of their toughness. Most people think it's just proof that DFL politicians aren't people of integrity.

Further, it's proof that the DFL is a low-IQ political party. Watch the outburst on the House floor after the DFL/Walz bill failed:

After the DFL meltdown, Gov. Walz asked what the GOP was afraid of. Republicans weren't afraid of anything with the bill. They just thought it was a mostly worthless bill. Finally, there's this:
In a December press conference, Walz signed orders demanding insurance companies hand over data pertaining to firearms, during which he delivered an anti-Second Amendment rant. "We are the murder gun capital of the planet, because people have made the decision to protect gun manufacturers and those who don’t want to take responsible action," Walz claimed, adding that arguments that gun bans were an attack on freedom were "bullshit."

During the 2024 campaign, when he was selected as the Democratic nominee for vice president, Walz came under fire for comments he made in a video posted to X by the Harris campaign in which he called for a ban on so-called "assault weapons," labeling them "weapons of war, that I carried in war."

Anyone foolish enough to say that restricting our rights to protect ourselves and our families is a blithering idiot. Further, anyone who didn't serve in a war, then says that he's carried weapons of war in war is a lying sack of $hit. The official end of Gov. Walz's term can't arrive fast enough. He's a failure who doesn't respect We The People's right to protect ourselves and our families.

GOOD RIDDANCE!
