Is the DFL's affordability plan high property taxes and unaffordable license tab fees?
Apparently, the DSA, formerly known as the DFL until it turned full-blown socialist, has a blueprint for fixing Minnesota's affordability crisis. Based on repeated events in recent past history, the DFL intends on raising your property taxes and your license tab fees. Affordability will be a significant issue but it isn't the biggest issue. The biggest issue by far is fraud. According to this Alpha News article, the DFL will have to lie to win elections this November. It reports that a "new poll from the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce shows that 67% of Minnesotans feel that state taxes are too high. Additionally, almost half of those surveyed (47%) said their personal finances have gotten worse in the past year."
Gov. Walz, aka Gov. the buck stops with me, has already blamed the Trump administration for bad policies. Never mind the fact that the DFL Trifecta foolishly spent away the entire $18,000,000,000 projected surplus, then passed a tax bill that hiked taxes and fees by another $10,000,000,000 in the same budget year (2023.)
Trusting the DFL with affordability is like trusting teenage boys in girls' bathrooms.
According to the poll, 67% of respondents said state taxes are "too high" while 31% said those taxes are "about right." The remaining 2% said Minnesota’s taxes are "too low."It's astonishing that one-half of Minnesotans think that they're getting worse value for the taxes that they're paying. I suspect that a majority of those people have seen their property taxes or license tab fees increase dramatically in the past year. This is stunning: The "Minnesota Affordability Poll" records that 65% of voters think that the Minnesota's economy is poor or fair while 67% rate taxes as too high. HINT: until we stop voting for DFL politicians, this trend will continue. To contrast the DFL and GOP, the GOP has proposed a $3,800,000,000 tax cut that repeals the license tab fee hike from 2023! The DFL stopped thaat bill in committee. Democrats LOVE tax hikes. They just don't like taxpayers. The poll asked respondents if Minnesota provides good value services for the amount paid in taxes when compared with years past. In total, 51% said Minnesota provides "worse value," 33% said "about the same value," and 9% said "better value."
