The Democratic Socialists of America hostile takeover of the DFL
The DSA is in the midst of a hostile takeover of the DFL right now. That's the report from Marjorie Simon, a lifelong Democrat. Ms. Simon is quoted as saying "When Aisha Chughtai became the council member, I noticed a disaster. She is a bona fide member of the Democratic Socialists of America. She doesn’t like to respond to emails or calls or voicemails or anything. And she makes a lot of statements that don’t make sense to me. So when I follow up with her, I get absolutely nothing." This fits with Biden and Sen. Schumer. They're worthless listeners. They've got their agenda and they aren't adjusting for nothing.
The DSA are ruthless:"So the whole thing really kicked off with the defund the police thing. And then at caucuses and conventions—that I always participate in—I noticed more and more how they were being run. The conveners were founders of the Twin Cities DSA … they know 'Robert's Rules of Order.' They use them as a weapon. So if you raised an issue that they didn’t like, they find a way in ‘Robert’s Rules of Order‘ to rule you out of order."This sound like the weaponization of the justice system during the Biden administration. It sounds like the ICE Watch tactics during Operation Metro Surge, too. ICE Watch activists didn't let anyone in that they weren't certain of. Compare that with the convention tactics of the DSA when they did whatever they needed to do to get Omar Fateh endorsed. That endorsement got pitched by the DFL because of the DSA's corruption.
It isn't a stretch to think that Sen. Schumer gets his marching orders from the DSA. Either that or he's that intimidated by them. Intimidation is a definite possibility. Let's return to Minneapolis.
"I think that the people that said they support that have never read the real platform. The Twin Cities chapter kind of hid that and buried it. I think that if Democrats really understood what the DSA stands for, they know this is just not gonna fly," she said. The DSA ship has sailed. It isn't returning to shore. They've got a destination in mind and that's the only thing on their GPS. It's that simple."I hope it’s not too late and that’s why I want to sue the party so that we have actual valid primary elections where all Democrats can vote … I really believe if all DFL voters were getting up and voting, we would not be electing people to the city council and even the state legislature who ascribe to those policies," Simon explained.
