President Trump addresses media after another assassination attempt

President Trump addressed the media shortly after another assassination attempt on President Trump's life. RealClearPolitics reported "President Donald Trump addressed the media in the White House briefing room on Saturday following a shooting at the White House Correspondents' Dinner." Then RCP, aka RealClearPolitics, provided the nation with a partial transcript of President Trump's statement. Trump opened by saying "This was an event dedicated to freedom of speech that was supposed to bring together members of both parties with members of the press. And in a certain way, it did, because the fact that they just unified."

It's time for those who passionately disagree with President Trump to consider the importance of unifying this nation. This is perhaps the third assassination attempt of President Trump in less than 2 years. In civilized nations, like the U.S., we settle disputes through elections, not gunfights. In civilized nations like the U.S., we pledge to each other the importance of dignity, civility and statesmanship rather than acting like bar room brawlers. This is President Trump attempting to unify a fractured nation:

As the leader of the GOP, President Trump has shown his willingness to unify the U.S. When will Hakeem Jeffries and Sen. Schumer show their willingness to meet President Trump half way? Thus far, we've only heard from Democrat activists that they want more fighting. That sounds like a juvenile, not an adult. Don't we deserve adult attitudes?
