Mark Trammell, the Constitution and the Center for American Liberty vs. Keith Ellison

Within a society bent on ignoring our civil liberties, it's essential that people like Mark Trammell step forward to protect our rights. Trammell is the CEO of the Center for American Liberty, which was founded by Harmeet Dhillon. She's currently serving as "the assistant attorney general for civil rights at the U.S. Department of Justice." Trammell joined Liz Collin for her podcast because he thinks that civil rights and constitutional rights have been under attack. He's right. This morning, I saw a report that California is planning on passing a bill that would presumably prevent Nick Shirley from reporting in California. It's been nicknamed the Stop Nick Shirley Act. But I digress.

Trammell "explained how suing governors who abuse their power is a 'favorite pastime' and how his organization has been pushing back and winning more than a few high-profile cases in court." If governors like Tim Walz, Gavin Newsom and J.B. Pritzker think that they can ignore the Constitution, they need to be stopped immediately. In federal court! AG Ellison insists that Minnesota's Civil Rights Act is the only protection they need to justify Minneapolis's sanctuary city laws. He's obviously ignoring the Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution.The Supremacy Clause takes precedence because immigration and naturalization is a federal responsibility. State laws get 'Trumped' by federal laws, especially when the Constitution gives that authority to the federal government. Check this out:

The Constitution was meant to promote individual liberty by restricting government's rights (HINT: It doesn't have any.) while recognizing that one person's rights stop where another person's rights begin. AG Ellison hates placing restrictions on government authority, though he doesn't mind restricting businesses and people. During the early days of COVID, the authoritarian side of Tim Walz would sign an ill-advised executive order, then AG Ellison would prosecute the victim who obeyed the original EO but was caught when Scramble-Brains Timmy changed the EO. I remember the restaurant owner in southern Minnesota who was sent to jail for opening her business so she could feed her family. That's disgusting. Walz and Ellison should both be prosecuted for treating people that way.

Minnesota Department of Education admits it's corrupt

I couldn't help but smile when I read the headline to this article . The title is "BREAKING: Minnesota Department of Education to strengthen hiring practices — after Alpha News reports." Thank God for well-run government agencies. Under DFL management, the Minnesota Department of Education, aka MDE, has turned inot an embarassment. Thank God Alpha News takes oversight seriously.
