The Democrats' lengthy history of unaffordability
Has the ACA improved health insurance availability? Marginally, at best. Check this out:
Notice that President Obama said "There's nothing in the Affordable Care Act that would impact an employer-sponsored plan other than making sure that the employer-sponsored plan is providing a basic level of coverage." That's the ACA's built-in trap door. Suddenly, employer-sponsored plans failed because the ACA implemented lots of exotic new coverages.Another example of Democrats being the party of unaffordability is the $1,900,000,000,000 American Rescue Plan, which directly triggered 9.1% hyperinflation and 'sticky' high prices. It isn't surprising that Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Chuck Schumer, Dick Durbin and Amy Klobuchar voted for both budget-busting bills.
These same Democrats repeatedly voted against significant tax cuts, too. The next time tax cuts make life more expensive, it'll be the first time. These Democrats won't stop using the word affordability between today and Election Day so it's important for Republicans to remind voters a) of the Democrats' history of making life expensive and b) that Democrats have a lengthy history of creating high inflation. Think Jimmy Carter and Joe Biden.
Finally, the DFL made Minnesota more expensive by ignoring billions of dollars of Medicaid fraud.
