How serious is the DFL? A: not very

It's become clear that the DFL isn't taking this session seriously. The first example of this is Rep. Dave Pinto's interest "in hearing about the 'benefits of shoplifting.'" As Rep. Mary Franson, GOP-Alexandria, put it "Retailers across the state are battling organized theft and repeated shoplifting that threatens their ability to stay open. Instead of entertaining arguments that attempt to justify theft, lawmakers should be focused on protecting businesses, backing law enforcement, and making sure criminals are held accountable."

That makes sense in light of the Medicaid Fraud Fiasco. Nothing belongs to anyone except those who are willing to steal it. That's the basis upon which socialism is built. In socialist systems, private property doesn't really exist. Similarly, prosperity doesn't exist with the DFL. With the DFL, there are 2 groups of people: oligarchs and ATMS.

Let me explain with this example:

In a separate hearing, Rep. Luger Nikolai suggested that Minnesota could consider “quintupling” car tab fees to raise more revenue for government spending. For families already paying high vehicle taxes and dealing with rising costs in nearly every part of their budget, a proposal like that highlights a troubling willingness to reach deeper into taxpayers’ pockets rather than control spending.
I just spoke to a friend who's an expert in transportation issues. I just asked him how much the tabs for his4-year-old SUV cost per year. He told me "over $500-a-year." Nationwide, Democrats are campaigning on the issue of "affordability." That's a pile of BS. The DFL doesn't know the first thing about affordability. The DFL doesn't hesitate in passing unfunded mandates, aka property tax hikes-in-waiting. When the property tax hikes are approved or the local-option-sales-tax gets approved, DFL legislators shouldn't get away with saying that they didn't raise taxes. That's BS, too. They approved the unfunded mandates, which the DFL knew would lead to a property tax hike or a local-option sales tax hike. The DFL isn't interested in affordability. They're interested in tax hikes, the bigger, the better:

The DFL's highest priority is maintaining control over people. The best way to maintain control over them is to overtax them.

It's time for a change

If you're interested in controlling your life, it's time to stop voting DFL. If you think that you're a better decision-maker than the government, it's time to vote GOP. It's time you rewarded yourself.
