Donald Trump issues ultimatum to Democrats

Though I don't know what it's like to go through a TSA line these days, I'm definitely getting pissed with heartless Democrats who've kept TSA agents, Coast Guardsmen and women, FEMA agents and the people who protect us from cyber attacks, aka CISA off the job for 84 days since Oct. 1, 2025. That's a total of 157 days on the calendar. That means that these heartless Democrats have inflicted 80+ days of unpaid pain on the men and women of DHS.

It was just a matter of time before President Trump entered the dispute. According to the article, "President Donald Trump at a cabinet meeting Thursday urged Congress to find a quick resolution to the Department of Homeland Security shutdown that’s leading to increasing headaches for air travelers. 'They need to end the shutdown immediately, or we’ll have to take some very drastic measures,' Trump said from the White House." This falls primarily on Democrats, starting with Sen. Schumer but also including Minority Leader Jeffries.

The GOP has negotiated in good faith, putting up reasonable counter-proposals to the Democrats' insulting bad-faith proposals. Many of the Democrats' proposals have shifted after Republicans accepted 80%-90% of their proposals. The media's dishonest reporting isn't helping matters:

How dare WGN's reporter say that the Trump administration isn't willing to change ICE's procedures. That's an outright lie. ICE has agreed to almost all Democrat demands except removing facemasks to protect against doxxing of agents and agents' families.
He didn’t describe what measures he would take or detail his role in negotiations to resume funding DHS. The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump was weighing declaring a national emergency to free-up funds and pay TSA workers.

In a statement later Thursday, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said "it is true that the White House is having discussions about a number of ideas to blunt the impact of the Democrat shutdown crisis, but no preparations or plans are currently underway. The best and easiest way to pay TSA Agents is to fund DHS." Leavitt said.

Throughout the 2 lengthiest shutdowns in U.S. history, Democrats have shown themselves to be utterly devoid of integrity. It's impossible to negotiate with a moving target. That's what Schumer's Democrats have presented throughout. If Republicans don't turn out in massive numbers, shutdowns of this length will become the rule, not the exception. That's a frightening thought.

Proof that Tim Walz doesn't care about fraud or other crime

Anyone that thinks that Tim Walz, Minnesota's DFL governor, doesn't care about preventing crime or fraud hasn't read this article . Alpha News is reporting that "The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) has confirmed that Dylan Adams, the fiscal policy analyst caught on video vandalizing Teslas in Minneapolis, is still employed by the state — meaning Minnesota taxpayers are footing the bill for his salary. In response to Alpha News inquiries, a DHS spokesperson said: "Dylan Adams is a current employee." Apparently, the Walz administration doesn't care that it's employing a vandal in its Department of Human Services. As for whether Adams "has faced consequences for racking up more than $21,000 in damage during work hours , the agency offered little transparency. Tim Walz doubling down on Gestapo speech

When Tim Walz, Minnesota's DFL governor, delivered the commencement address for the University of Minnesota Law school, he didn't deliver the typical commencement speech. He delivered a highly partisan speech instead. Gov. Walz compared "federal law enforcement agents implementing President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown to a Nazi-era political police force." He called ICE agents Gestapo. Let's compare the 2. The Gestapo's mission was to rid Germany of Jews. To the Gestapo, it didn't matter that these Jews were German citizens and had been decades. Thanks to the Aryan Clauses, Jews were considered subhuman and weren't really Germans. That's an awfully racist viewpoint. Is Gov. Walz accusing law enforcement officers of being racists? I.C.E.
