Tim Walz wants ICE reparations?
Tim Walz was right at least once during his vice presidential debate with then-Sen. JD Vance. Gov. Walz was apparently right he said that he's sometimes a knucklehead. Tim Walz, soon-to-be former DFL governor, thinks that ICE created "generational devastation" to businesses in Minneapolis. Tim Walz "wants the state legislature to pass a $10 million 'relief package' for small businesses affected by Operation Metro Surge." The GOP should tell the DFL that they'll look at such legislation after the DFL passes a 'Fraud reparation package' and Tim Walz signs it into law. Simply put, the DFL wasted BILLIONS MORE DOLLLARS through fraud than ICE could cause in 10 years of law enforcement operations.
Further, Alpha News reports "On Monday, DFLers held a press conference where they accused ICE agents of racial profiling, violating the law, and kidnapping people. DFL Sen. Erin Maye Quade said Operation Metro Surge had brought 'generational devastation' to Minnesota." That's fair. The Medicaid fraud scams created generational wealth. The difference between the theoretical ICE generational devastation and the VERY REAL Medicaid fraud is, at minimum, $9,000,000,000. It's likely more than that.
Additionally, House Republicans said they have two other anti-fraud bills: one would create statutory guidelines for state agencies that run programs deemed “high-risk” for fraud, and the other would create consequences for agencies that allow unchecked fraud to occur. The bill that the House DFL filibustered is essential. I want nothing to do with Keith Ellison in charge of prosecuting Somali fraudsters. Further, I want Walz administration senior management investigated and, when appropriate, prosecuted and convicted. The DFL will need to prove to me that ICE created "generational devastation." We have proof of Medicaid fraud in the form of guilty pleas and guilty verdicts. Jim Jordan explains: That fraud isn't speculation. According to court documents, it's a finding of fact beyond a reasonable doubt. That's why the DFL is fighting an uphill fight in the Fraud vs. ICE fight.
