Kelly Morrison's disgusting propaganda

Kelly Morrison put on one of the most dishonest performances in the history of Almanac. During the interview, Eric Eskola questioned whether there was an opportunity to pass comprehensive immigration reform. Rep. Morrison replied "I certainly hope so. We're decades in the making of a standstill. As you both know, there was a pretty comprehensive bill that had been negotiated led by a pretty conservative Republican senator from Oklahoma named James Lankford." That's a lovely-sounding story but it's a whopper.

While it's fact that Sen. Jim Lankford negotiated a somewhat comprehensive immigration bill, it wasn't comprehensive immigration reform because there a ton of poison pills in the bill. I read the bill. It would've codified into law Joe Biden's open borders policies. Further, the comprehensive immigration bill wasn't required. Within 2 weeks of President Trump getting sworn in, the border crisis was finished. Apparently, Rep. Morrison doesn't know the difference between the definition of lenient and the definition of compassionate. President Trump's policies aren't lenient. Joe Biden's immigration policies were lenient, not compassionate. Here's tthe entire interview:

The part that got me maddest was when she spoke of Renee Nicole Good's shooting and Alex Pretti's shooting. Morrison said "I think most citizens who've seen those videos would consider them murders." This video shows the cell-phone camera panning to the ground:

You then hear the car collide with the ICE agent, followed by shots getting fired. Whether the ICE agent intended to shoot and kill Good is irrelevant. What's relevant is whether a reasonable officer thought his life was in danger. The shots weren't fired until after the vehicle struck the agent.

That makes it self defense, not murdeer. Rep. Morrison is wrong. While the jury is still out on Pretti, it's difficult not to render a verdict of self defense in the Good shooting. Calling Good's death "murder" is performative. She shouldn't be taken seeriously.
