Brian O'Hara must be fired
The fact that MPD officers didn't help an ICE officer is disgusting. It's one thing for them not to assist this ICE officer. It's another when MPD officers won't enforce Minnesota laws. Alpha New's Genna Gloeb reported "Minneapolis police politely ask anti-ICE protesters blocking a street with recliners and gates to clear the way for emergency vehicles." Then she reported "We have fire trucks and ambulances that might need to get through here.' Protesters argue back. Police just walk away.'"
Brian O'Hara must be fired. These officers need to be terminated, too. It's obvious that these officers were trained to be appeasers. That's thoroughly unacceptable. If you're going to train officers, train them to respond to officers in trouble, regardless of whether they're ICE agents or MPD officers.
A barricade built from recliners, gates and other odds and ends blocked a city street in the area from 32nd to 34th and Cedar Avenue. That isn't law enorcement. That's appeasement. Further, why trust dirtbags who've broken the law? Their lawlessness is proof of their untrustworthiness. This is the biggest reason why Chief O'Hara must either resign or be terminated. He's the PC of a big city police force but he isn't willing to do what's required to change the culture of his department. That isn't leadership. That's passivity/appeasement. Chief O'Hara is in trouble, as ia Gov. Walz and Maayor Frey:Brian O'Hara hasn't changedd the culture within his police department. Morale was already low when he got there. Apparently, apathy and appeasement are traits that run rampant in O'Hara's PD, too. It's becoming apparent that Jacob Frey is just fine with that. How sad. When Minneapolis police officers approached and urged the group to move the obstruction "for fire trucks and ambulances," the protesters didn’t budge, insisting they could shift it if an emergency vehicle came along, and officers eventually left without enforcing the move, a video shows.
