Tim Walz's predictable predicament

Tim Walz is in a predictable and predicted predicament. He didn't pay attention to the Medicaid fraud happening throughout the Twin Cities. Gov. Walz didn't pay attention to the growing crisis because paying attention would've required seeing Somalis committing crimes. That's something Gov. Walz couldn't afford to pay attention to. The stakes would've been totally unacceptable. Tim Walz's predicament started when Nick Shirley committed the unacceptable offense of reporting what was happening. A century ago, these things happened frequently. At the time, these offenses were called acts of journalism.

Tim Walz's problem is that he tried responding to Nick Shirley's act of journalism. According to RedState's Nick Arama, Tim Walz "put out a statement on X on Tuesday, hoping to stem the tide of fury over the problem. I don't think this is going to work. And you'll never guess who he tried to deflect to/blame for not taking fraud seriously. Or maybe you will guess, if you know what the Democrats' default excuse always is:

According to Tim Walz, "Trump keeps letting fraudsters out of prison." Whenever Gov. Walz gets in a tight spot, he immediately blames Trump. This time, Trump is guilty of "letting fraudsters out of prison. I'd love to know which grifter President Trump let out of jail and when this happened. Check this out:
My message remains clear: If you threaten everything that makes our state a great place to live by committing fraud in Minnesota, you will be caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Tim's a farce. Tim's message couldn't be clearer. If you're a Somali grifter, he'll turn a blind eye towards you. That's because he'll do anything to get their votes. Further, Tim Walz has said that he's been fighting fraud for years. If you can't fix it within 2 years, then you're a blithering idiot. Joe Biden let 20,000,000 illegal aliens across the border in his 4 years. He insisted that he needed new laws to fix the border. Voters picked Trump. No new laws were passed. Within a month of his swearing in, the border was shut tight. It didn't require new laws. It required a president willing to enforce existing laws. Tim ain't that guy. Jonathan Turley nails it in this interview with Bill Melugin:

Prof. Turley highlighted as fact that fraud has been a crime for quite some time. Turley then said that Gov. Walz doesn't need additional authority. The governor is the CEO of the state executive branch just like presidents are the CEO of the federal executive branch. When George W. Bush became our 43rd president, the media said that he didn't get 50% of the popular vote but "he got 100% of the presidency." Tim Walz got 100% of the governor's contitutional and statutory authority. Blaming this crisis on anyone other than the man in the mirror is deflection.

Recently, Duane 'Generalisimo' Patterson, Hugh Hewitt's producer, went through Gov. Walz's excuses. That night, on Hugh's show, they played those clips. I watched as they played them. They started with Clip #3, then ran the clips consecutively, before finishing with Clip #19. That's 17 excuses. Some blamed COVID. Several blamed Trump. Now that's a shock. NOT! Then there were other, out-of-the-blue excuses.

Clearly, Gov. Walz doesn't think the buch stops in his office. If he's legitimately been trying to stop fraud for years, something that I'm highly suspicious of, then he's terrible at his job. Period.
