Jim Nobles harshly criticizes Tim Walz
Jim Nobles is a calm, often understated man. For him to say that Gov. Walz "should apologize for his adminitration's negligence" is an eruption of Vesuvial proportions for Mr. Nobles. Recently, Gov. Walz has tried attacking Republicans for not giving him the authority to go after grifters (my word, not Gov. Walz's). Nobles stopped that immediately, saying "All the state needed was to implement standard financial controls and oversight. Why the Walz administration did not do that is still a mystery, and it is disturbing." Check this report out:
Nobles continued, saying, “It is also a mystery and disturbing why Walz is debating the number used to discuss the fraud problem in Minnesota when it is clear the number has grown into a large number and is likely a really large number. Rather than debate and criticize the U.S. Attorney, the governor should give the people of Minnesota an honest explanation of why fraud was allowed to grow under his administration, and he should apologize for his administration’s negligence. The mountain of mistakes made by Gov. Walz is epic. The thing is that it isn't that difficult to figure out. Next, while Gov. Walz has taken credit for cvracking down on fraud, it's ESSENTIAL to note that it's been the U.S. Attorney's office that's negotiated the plea agreements and won the verdicts, not Keith Ellison or Tim Walz. Keith Ellison can make as many of those goofy-looking ads as he wants about cracking down on fraud, etc., etc., but the truth is that Joe Thompson is the fraud difference-maker. Period."Finally, it must also be said that the governor’s criticism of the U.S. Attorney’s Office lacks credibility since it is that office — not any state office — that has brought accountability to those who stole money from Minnesota taxpayers and robbed Somali children and families of the services they need," added Nobles.
Jim Nobles is right. Tim Walz should apologize for being derelict in his responsibilities. The things that've gotten ignored during the Walz administration are game-changers financially for Minnesota, Minnesota's families and taxpayers.
