Angie Craig: Tim Walz is putting fraudsters in prison
It's still early in the primary season but Angie Craig is praising Tim Walz for his handling of Minnesota's fraud scandals. Recently, Rep. Craig said "I think the governor is taking and his team are taking an aggressive approach to crack down on fraud in Minnesota. They’re prosecuting and putting the folks who are perpetrating the crime in jail."
That's pretty stunning stuff to hear about Tim Walz's fraud prevention efforts. First, the vast majority of fraudstersare being dealt with by the federal government. Most of the grifters don't deal with the state government. So much for the governor's administration "taking an aggressive approach" in cracking down against the grifters. Next, if Gov. Walz's administration is taking an aggressive approach to fraud, why didn't we hear about it until 5 years after the grift started?
Angie Craig is a cookie-cutter progressive. Trusting her is foolish. Craig's political courage isn't exactly legendary:
Craig, a four-term lawmaker running in a contested Democratic primary in Minnesota’s 2026 Senate race, has largely avoided commenting on the multi-year welfare fraud schemes that occurred under Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s watch. When asked by the Daily Caller News Foundation whether the Walz administration bears responsibility for failing to protect stolen taxpayer dollars, Craig effusively praised the two-term governor and insisted they both have taken action to prevent fraud in the North Star State.Talk is cheap, especially with politicians. Where's the proof that the Walz administration has taken swift, authoritative action against the fraudsters/grifters? If Ms. Craig didn't provide proof of action, her statements should be considered untrustworthy. I only know what I have proof for. This report puts Rep. Craig's statements into question: The fact that Rep. Craig wouldn't sit for an interview isn't the type of thing that inspires confidence. Frankly, I don't trust her. Further, the evasiveness of Commissioner Tikki Brown were unsettling. Whether we're talking about Gov. Walz, Rep. Craig or Commissioner Brown, we didn't get a straightforward answer. That's more than ample reason not to trust these Democrats.
