Will Jack Ciattarelli win in New Jersey?
In recent casual political conversations, I used to ask whether Jack Ciattarelli could win. With 5 days until Election Day in New Jersey, I'm now asking whether he will win. Personally, I think Ciattarelli will win. Thursday night, Ciattarelli was a guest on Sean Hannity's program. According to the article, "Despite having unsuccessfully run for New Jersey governor two times already, Ciattarelli told Hannity the early voting results have him in a 'really good position to win.'"
Before the town hall part got started, Hannity interviewed Robert Kahaly, chief pollster of Trafalgar Group, and Matt Towery, chief pollster of Insider Advantage. Their polls both showed Ciatterelli trailing his opponent by a point. Emerson also has Ciattarelli 1 point behind.
The crowd attending the town hall was definitely energized. Based on early in-person voting and the lack of enthusiasm at Ciattarelli's opponent's rallies, it looks like Ciattarelli's opponent is fighting an uphill fight. I'm not predicting anything yet but it's close.
Here's part of the interview:
When I watch Ciattarelli's opponent, she looks stiff, not approachable. When I watch Ciattarelli, I see someone that's approachable, likable. I know this is anecdotal but it's often what wins elections.
