Tom Hauser is missing Councilman Jeff Johnson

It's apparent that KSTP's Tom Hauser hasn't paid enough attention to Minnesota's gubernatorial race. When Hauser started his Political Analysis xegment of At Issue, he opened with Tim Pawlenty speaking at another establishment-based chat. Gov. Pawlenty said that the MNGOP couldn't just criticize the DFL. To nobody's surprise, everyone pretty much agreed with him. Noticeably missing was conservative solutions. The good news is that there's a candidate fixated on fixing problems. What's better is that he's got a history of fixing problem. I have the privilege of being his campaign manager. I also have the privilege of calling Jeff my longtime friend. You'd be wise in checking out St. Cloud City Councilman Jeff Johnson's campaign website.

First, it's worth noting that Jeff didn't bury the lede. He opened his campaign website by saying "How many times have you heard political candidates give the same worn out gag-reflex speech that goes something like "If you vote for me, I will fight for you?" What's notably missing is well-thought out solutions. Minnesota needs a solutions-oriented governor rather than a Tim Walz machine politician who caters to special interests at the expense of hardworking Minnesotans."

Then it's worth noting that Jeff doesn't shy from a fight. When he was in the St. Cloud City Council, the Uniparty tried pushing Somali refugees on St. Cloud without figuring out if St. Cloud had the infrastructure (schools, hospitals, transportation, etc.) to handle the incoming refugees. Jeff called for a moratorium. CAIR-MN called Jeff an Islamophobe and a racist. Neither accuaation is close to accurate. Jeff simply wanted the quarterly briefings that the Refugee Resettlement Act of 1980 required. Here's Jeff's explanation for his actions:

Here's 4 things I want you to take from this video:
  1. Jeff is battle-tested.
  2. Jeff is persistent.
  3. Eventually, Jeff got Stearns County to provide the required quarterly briefings to Jeff.
  4. Jeff withstood the name-calling from CAIR-MN and #Unite Cloud.
Tim Walz hasn't been a leader, either as a congressman or as governor. If you're looking for solutions, that isn't Gov. Walz, either. If you want another $1,000,000,000 in fraudulent Medicaid and Feeding Our Future payments walking out the door, vote for Gov. Walz. If however, you want a state that's safe, run right, and that improves school test scores, Jeff Johnson is your best vote.
