The Democrats' newest twist: a leadership-free leader

Are House Democrats about to try a new twist in leadership? This morning, Axios reported that "Democratic congressional candidates nationwide, feeding off voter fury, are raging against their leadership and vowing to be ruthless." We know that Democrats know how to be ruthless. After all, they're the Party That (allegedly) Assassinated Charlie Kirk. They're the Party that allegedly attempted to (twice) assassinate then Candidate Donald Trump. But I digress.

According to Axios, "I am not a 'when they go low, we go high' [person]. I'm not that kind of girl," Texas state Rep. Jolanda Jones, who is running in a November special election for a safely Democratic U.S. House seat, told Axios about dealing with Republicans."

It's one thing to attack the opposite party. It's another to attack your own party. According to this article, "Dozens of Democrats running for U.S. House seats across the country told Axios they either wouldn't vote for House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) as party leader or declined to commit to doing so."

Republicans have often thought thought that when Jeffries' lips moved, it was Pelosi who spoke. It wasn't that they hated Jeffries. It's that they had little respect for him. This is who Jolanda Jones is:

It isn't surprising that Jeffries isn't far enough left for someone as far left as Jones. That's surprising without being shocking. This new, younger wave of Democrats isn't just farther left than Jeffries, Pelosi, Obama, Schumer and the late Harry Reid. They're to the left of Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Jasmine Crockett and AOC.
