Open letter to Keith Ellison

Last week, I wrote this article about Keith Ellison disrespecting the military. He disrespected the military by showing disinterest in the arrival of an Honor Flight at Reagan National Airport on Sept. 26. Almost a month after the incident and almost a week after the incident was report, AG Ellison responded to the article.

Ellison's response was classic Ellison. Ellison said "Let me just say, the idea that I don’t support veterans is ridiculous. It’s untrue. It’s a lie. Now look, that day, there were 10 or 11 different veterans that came off. I clapped for like all of them. Then I got a call from my office and I answered the phone. And so I might not have been able to see that one that they caught me where I was attending to work-related business."

In this video, there wasn't footage of Ellison getting a "call from my office." In this video, what happened is pretty straightforward:

Ellison said "I clapped for like all of them." What do your eyes tell you about this? It suggests that AG Ellison isn't telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. This is the final insult:
"It's too bad we have to talk about it because I clapped for every veteran that came out, then I got a call and I had to pick up that call. And so here we are talking about something that really is a non-story. Really, it’s a non-story."
That sounds like Ellison is telling us what to think. Here in the land of the First Amendment, We The People determine what's a story and what isn't a story.
