Omar Fateh wants police to break the law
According to the article, "State Sen. Omar Fateh, one of the leading candidates in the Minneapolis mayoral election, is backing calls for local police to “immediately arrest” law enforcement officers who wear masks."
That's illegal because it violates the Constitution's Separation of Powers Clause. States and municipalities don't have jurisdiction over federal officials. According to the article, "Fateh recently appeared at a press conference hosted by the Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee (MIRAC), which has published a list of demands for 'strengthening' the city’s separation ordinance. That ordinance prohibits city employees from participating in immigration enforcement."
It's apparent that Minneapolis isn't interested in keeping its citizens safe. That's why people are attempting to leave Minneapolis. Here's a picture of Fateh at the MIRAC press conference:
Electing Omar Fateh would lead to another mass exodus from Minneapolis. This isn't just about public safety. It's about Minneapolis doing the right thing time-after-time-after-time.
