Is Joe Biden's Operation Arctic Frost worse than Watergate?

The New York Post is reporting that Chuck Grassley has released a memo that shows "The FBI secretly obtained the phone records of nine Republican members of Congress, including eight sitting senators, under the Biden administration as part of its 'Arctic Frost' investigation of 2020 election meddling, a bombshell document revealed."

Whoever is involved with Operation Arctic Frost is likely in trouble. That's because Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson, the chairs of the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, respectively, issued a joint statement, which said "Given that these materials relate to an unprecedented collection of records and information on sitting [Members of Congress] and raise serious constitutional concerns, Congress’ need for these records clearly outweighs any interest in secrecy. Further, the unprecedented nature of the DOJ’s and FBI’s actions in collecting [Members of Congress’] communication records falls squarely within Congress’ constitutional duty to thoroughly investigate potential abuses of power and creates a uniquely exceptional circumstance that demands the release of otherwise protected records."

This is worse than Watergate. In Watergate, the RNC wiretapped DNC bureaucrats. In this instance, the Biden DOJ and FBI wiretapped 8 sitting senators and a sitting congressman from Pennsylvania. From the Grassley press conference:

Nothing sounds legitimate about this. That's because there's nothing legitimate about this enterprise.
