Chuck Schumer is lying to us

Chuck Schumer shouldn't post on Twitter. He's worthless at it. After Sen. Schumer posted on Twitter on Thursday, Speaker Mike Johnson spoke out, saying "In his desperation, he’s selfishly chosen to 'show a fight' by: 1) shutting down the entire federal government; 2) demanding $1.5 trillion in NEW wasteful spending; and 3) promoting a rally openly sponsored by Communists. Schumer is shameless." Speaker Johnson added that "Schumer's power is 'now in jeopardy because the Marxists are planning to take his seat.'"

This is what happens when Democrats try holding on too long. Right now, Sen. Schumer's leadership looks precarious. I wrote here how the No Kings Rally is a fraud. I quoted "The official No Kings organization’s partners include Communist Party USA (CPUSA), the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and the DSA’s New York City and Boulder, Colorado, chapters, according to websites advertising upcoming national and New York City protests. No Kings started its movement in 2025 and centers around portraying Trump as authoritarian, despite CPUSA repeatedly praising late Cuban dictator Fidel Castro and the DSA’s International Committee showing 'solidarity' with North Korea’s totalitarian government."

Praising Fidel Castro and expressing solidarity with "North Korea's totalitarian government" isn't how to stand with democratic governments. Here's Schumer's tweet:

The rally attracted a significant-sized crowd:
Here's Speaker Johnson's reply:
Johnson replied to the post Saturday, alleging Schumer's power is "now in jeopardy because the Marxists are planning to take his seat."

"In his desperation, he’s selfishly chosen to 'show a fight' by: 1) shutting down the entire federal government; 2) demanding $1.5 trillion in NEW wasteful spending; and 3) promoting a rally openly sponsored by Communists," Johnson wrote. "Schumer is shameless."

Friday night on Almanac, one of the moderators asked "Don't Democrats have to show some fight? I'd argue that the DFL needs to show they have a brain.
