Shame on the DFL, Annunciation Church edition

This morning, a Senate working group met for the first time. According to the DFL's Sen. Ron Latz, the DFL's goal is to "to set the table for some bipartisan consensus, get some consensus out, some details out." Sen. Latz couldn't find consensus if he was equipped with a GPS and a year of gas. (I would've said an EV but everyone knows that EVs are worthless in wintertime.)

Republicans should issue a statement stating that they refuse to violate the U.S. Constitution or well-settled Supreme Court rulings. Republicans shouldn't tolerate the DFL using grieving parents to push the DFL's Marxist ideology. The truth is that the DFL doesn't care about these heartbroken parents or their children. The DFL cares about passing their Marxist agenda.

I've noticed that the DFL hasn't said a thing about Robin Westman's repeated cries for help. Republicans have talked about getting the Robin Westmans the mental health treatment that they need. The House GOP has often talked about also making schools safer. The DFL could've passed legislation that would've funded school resource officers and hardened all schools, not just public schools. The DFL had that opportunity and the projected surplus that could've fixed these problems.

Tugging at people's heart strings won't make Minnesota students safer. It's time for the DFL to dump their activists, especially when those activists wouldn't hesitate in ignoring Supreme Court precedents. According to this news segment, this Senate working group will return Wednesday for another lengthy helping of DFL propaganda:

Minnesotans need to learn that the DFL isn't interested in fixing things. The DFL is interested in controlling people. Fundraising emails will go out frequently seeking contributions 'to prevent evil Republicans' from turning Minnesota into the Wild, Wild West 2.0. After the special session, the GOP should send out a series of fundraising appeals to explain why the MNGOP is actually the only political party serious about making all schools safer. The DFL had that opportunity in 2023. The DFL rejected that opportunity. If the opportunity happened when the MNGOP was in power, we'd fix things like that. The MNGOP wants the opportunity to fix what the DFL broke during the Walz administration.

Finally, most of what needs fixing when it comes to violence can be solved by consistently enforcing the law. This isn't that complicated, though I'll say that it appears as though it's beyond the DFL's comprehension.
