J.D. Vance to Democrats: if you voted no on OBBL, you're gonna get criticized

Vice President J.D. Vance has a warning for Democrats who voted no on the One Big Beautiful Law, aka the OBBL. That message is participate in the law-making process or be seen as part of the problem. Democrats sat on the sideline, criticizing the bill without offering any amendments, then voting no on the bill before returning to their criticism of the OBBL.

That isn't governing. That's just whining. If you aren't part of the solution, you're part of the problem. Right now, thanks to the Biden administration's lengthy list of problems that it caused, this nation needs problem solvers. Right now, Democrats are just pathetic whiners.

Vance said "The craziest thing is if you’re a Democrat and you don’t like this legislation, then come and talk to us. Make some proposed changes. Tell us 'You know, this provision isn’t so good. We’d like to change it a little bit, and if we change it, then I can get to yes.' This is the process of government. And these guys didn’t even come to the White House and try to make their concerns known. They didn’t try to make the legislation better. They just attack, attack, attack.'"

In this speech, VP J.D. Vance laid out the logic behind the OBBL:

Vance highlighted the fact that Congresswoman Emelia Sykes wasn't in the audience. VP Vance highlighted the fact that Congresswoman Sykes wasn't "celebrsating no taxes on tips. She isn't celebrating no taxes on overtime." Congresswoman Sykes chose to be part of the problem, not part of the solution. By voting against the OBBL, Congresswoman Sykes essentiall voted for the biggest tax hike in U.S. history.

Since Democrats (in both the House and Senate) didn't offer a counterproposal to the OBBB, Democrats signaled that they didn't have a plan to fix our tax system. At minimum, Democrats just had a plan to criticize President Trump's plan. That isn't leadership. That's just showing up, punching the timeclock and collecting a paycheck. That isn't a contribution to society. That's just being a Democrat whiner.

Vance then said he believed Democrats don’t care about grocery prices, whether employees receive a raise or not, or if Americans are even employed in the first place.

"Their obsession in government is letting illegal aliens into this country, and attacking Donald J. Trump," Vance said. "I don’t think the American people should reward that broken style of politics, and I don’t think they’re going to come November 2026."

If Democrats want to be do-nothings, they can do nothing while not collecting a paycheck. If Democrats want to be do-nothings, the American people can fire them, then replace them with productive Republicans.

Finally, it's worth noting that each House Democrat and each Senate Democrat voted against the OBBL. That's the definition of being part of the problem.
