Feds make major drug bust in Minnesota

Minnesota isn't just where fraudsters go to thrive. Apparently, it's also where drug cartels thrive. According to Fox9, "Federal prosecutors have indicted two men in connection with one of the largest methamphetamine busts in the history of Minnesota. Joel Casas-Santiago, 46, and Guillermo Mercado-Charparro, 44, are charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine."

Further, Dustin Grage is reporting "Guillermo Mercado-Chaparro, 46, is also charged with illegal reentry after previously being deported as an illegal alien." In this tweet, Grage reports that "Acting U.S. Attorney Joseph Thompson said in a statement:

"A 900-pound haul like this doesn’t just show intent to distribute, it shows intent to poison entire communities. We will not let Minnesota become a distribution hub for cartel-scale operations. This prosecution is just the beginning."
Then there's this: KIMT's report:

Thanks to the Trump administration, south-of-the-border cartels are facing resistance they didn't face during the previous administration. Secretary Mayorkas didn't enforce the law. Secretary Noem doesn't suffer from that offliction. Under Secretary Noem's and President Trump's leadership, they're taking the fight to the cartels. The Biden administration's open borders policy has been replaced with a policy with more teeth in it.

Drug traffickers are still mainly interested in making profits by selling their poison. Disruptions, especially major disruptions like this bust, change the cartel's bottom line. The cartels won't stop selling their poison. With increased law enforcement, though, drug trafficking will be far less profitable.

The difference between administrations couldn't be more distinct. The previous administration let the cartels run things. This adminmistration is making life miserable for the cartels. I want the cartels worried about what happens next. This bust is a great first step in restoring sanity to society. Finally, making life miserable for the cartels raises our standard-of-living.
