Dustin Gage's important DSA Convention notes

If you aren't following Dustin Grage's timeline on X, you're missing out on some of the best independent journalism. This article is testimony to Grage's insights. Enjoy. One of Grage's first tweets from the DSA Endorsing Convention in Minneapolis offered a frightening possibility. Grage said "Imagine Omar Fateh and Mary Moriarty having total control over your police department and prosecuting authority. Talk about a gift to Republicans in future election cycles."

Here's another stellar Grage observation:

The Minneapolis City Council was already studying how to tax the rich and launch government-run grocery stores. Tonight, Democrats endorsed Omar Fateh. A self-proclaimed Socialist backed by the DSA. Get out of Minneapolis while you still can.
The DFL doesn't exist anymore. The DFL, aka Democrat-Farmer-Laborer Party, has been taken over by the DSA, aka Democrat Socialists of America. Don't believe me? Ask DFL Party Chair Richard Carlbom: The notion that the DSA is a big tent psarty is laughable. tHE DSA doesn't represent farmers or laborersa. They don't represent the Iron Range. The DSA is metro-based. Metrocrats, by definition, hate Iron Rangers. They're anti-mining. Period.

Some things don't change.

In the 2020 Iowa Caucuses, Democrats tried a new voting system. We still don't know who won the Democrats' Iowa Caucuses. This is emblematic of Democrats. They don't know if something works but they'll use it if it's new-fangled. Yesterday in Minneapolis is just confirmation of the Democrats' belief in anything new-fangled. Check this out:

If I owned proppperty in Minneapolis, I'd sell it immediately. Then I'd buy property in the suburbs or exurbs. If Sen. Fateh is elected, I'd expect Minneapolis to turn into a criminals paradise. Defunding the police isn't foolish. It's worse than foolish.
