Democrat Socialists of America: Minneapolis's downfall?

Taxpaying Minnesotans owe Minneapolis GOP Chair Diane Napper a thank you for waking them up to who the Democrst Socialists of America are and what they're fighting for. This sarticle is today's must reading. If you want some additional reading on DSA, check out DSA's website. When people tell you who they are, believe them.

Diane Napper appeared on Liz Collin's podcast to explain what's at stake. In talking about last Saturday's endorsing convention, Ms. Napper is quoted as saying "It sounds like there were quite a few shenanigans going on. I’ve heard different stories, but I think the biggest problem is that perhaps they didn’t follow their own rules … The rules of the convention matter. And it sounds like the rules were not followed." Seeing that this is a DFL/DSA convention, I'd expect nothing less. The DFL/DSA is as good at following the rules as vampires are good at handling wooden stakes.

Who is Omar Fateh?

Omar Fateh is a racist and a potential fraudster. For instance, "Fateh has made several controversial statements—including a viral video from the Senate floor, where he said his Republican colleagues look like terrorists.

Imagine if a white senator said that Fateh looked like a terrorist. That'd be above-the-fold, front-page news in every liberal newsapaper in the nation.

What does the DSA believe in? (in their owqn words.)

Capitalism is a system designed by the owning class to exploit the rest of us for their own profit. We must replace it with democratic socialism, a system where ordinary people have a real voice in our workplaces, neighborhoods, and society.

We believe there are many avenues that feed into the democratic road to socialism. Our vision pushes further than historic social democracy and leaves behind authoritarian visions of socialism in the dustbin of history.

What a bunch of BS! DSA is either naive or lying. I'm betting they're lying. How much say did the people of the Soviet Union have? WEre the Soviet dissidents given comfortable dachas? Or were they thrown into Soviet gulags? Think that this example isn't relelvant? Guess again. When President Obama and Speaker Pelosi passed Obamacare, did they ask please pass this bill? Or did they force it down our throats?

American socialists are just as big of control freaks as Soviets were. They won't drive tanks down the street but they're still authoritarians.

We want to collectively own the key economic drivers that dominate our lives, such as energy production and transportation. We want the multiracial working class united in solidarity instead of divided by fear. We want to win "radical" reforms like single-payer Medicare for All, defunding the police/refunding communities, the Green New Deal, and more as a transition to a freer, more just life.
The Green New Deal isn't liberating because it costs too much to be prosperous. EV mandates caused the highest inflation since Jimmy Carter. Quality-of-life dropped precipitously. Defunding the police is a major tax hike on small businesses. People don't visit crime-riddled neighborhoods. No traffic, no income. Neighborhoods aren't as safe, either. When President Obama 'negotiated' with Republicans, he rejected the GOP's proposals, then said "Elections have consequences." Does this look like liberty and prosperity?

Finally, Sen. Fateh isn't portraying himself accurately. This is pure DSA schtick. In Somalia, where he grew up, where would he have been taught the principles undergirding constitutional republics. Finally, what signs has Sen. Fateh shown that he's interested in assimilation into American society? I don't see any of those signs. I'm betting we never will.
