Ken Martin's sinking ship

It's apparent that Ken Martin's critics within the DNC seem to be fighting a winning fight. This article appears to be the first article to critically wound Martin. The article opens by saying "Four-and-a-half months after the Democratic National Committee chair pledged to focus on fighting Donald Trump, Ken Martin’s short tenure leading the organization has been engulfed by bitter infighting. Even longtime party insiders are getting impatient."

Martin's problems start with fundraising. This article reports that "Democrats’ main fundraising committee is losing big donors and so cash-strapped that its officials have discussed borrowing money just to keep the lights on, with one source spilling to The Post that if things don’t turn around before the 2026 midterms, the party is 'f–ked.' 'We are six months in and we’re drowning,' a source close to the Democratic National Committee told The Post about the current rate of contributions. 'The RNC was so cash-heavy and hitting us day after day after day when Biden was president.'"

The Post article and the Politico article are filled with anonymous sources. Both articles sound like these sources have axes to grind. These articles sound like they want Martin gone. Further, they sound like they think their guy should've won.

“It is incredible that [Martin] has not sought to bring all the factions of the party together. He assumed the chairmanship after being opposed by the Democratic leader of the House, the Democratic leader of the Senate, organized labor leaders and many of our country’s leading governors,” a DNC official told The Post.

"And so you would assume after he becomes chairman… he would try to bring all of the party officials together and unite the party. And he’s doing just the opposite. It could have an impact on governors races, it could have an impact on the midterm elections. It’s totally unnecessary," the official added. "Either he changes tactics and mends fences very quickly or he ceases to be relevant."

The latest federal records show that by late April, the DNC’s war chest shrank to just under $18 million — approximately one quarter of the cash currently in the RNC’s coffers.

These days, the DNC is more tribal than organizational. It's definitely factionalized, thanks in large part to their identity politics business model. What's hurting theme, too, is that they aren't agreeing enough with Trump. These pundits don't get that:

This video hints that the divisions are getting created by people (Randi Weingarten, Lee Saunders) whose candidates didn't win. Rather than mending fences, Martin, Saunders and Weingarten decided to bury the hatchet, they buried the hatchet and left the handle sticking out:

Democrats are bleeding normal people with common sense. When Bernie Sanders, AOC and Jasmine Crockett are seen as leaders, you're in trouble. When 2 major public employee union presidents resign out of frustration, it signals a sinking ship.
