Ilhan Omar, the staggering ingratitude edition
What ingratitude. What a blithering idiot! Without that Army, which is now 250 years old (It was formed before our nation existed), the nation that she now calls home wouldn't exist. Without that Army, they wouldn't have defeated the British. At the time the British were colonizers. Back then, the British government was a corrupt monarchy. It was that monarchy's corruption that caused the U.S. Army to fight against the British military. That Corrupt monarchy inspired the colonists to declare their independence from the British monarchy.
Without that U.S. Army, that nation's Declaration of Independence would've led to the signers death. At the end of that Declaration, it says "And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor." This would've been seen by the British government as an act of treason.
In this videotaped interview, Rep. Omaar said "We are in the midst of the creation of a police state."
Honestly, that's one of the most frightening statements from a politician I've ever heard. How many wars has that Army fought in? In those wars, the winners often divide the riches of the defeated nation. "To the victors go the spoils", right? How many times has the U.S. said no thanks to being part of dividing up those spoils? The answer is zero. We've never been pasrt of that type of thing. It isn't because we haven't had the opportunities. We simply said "No thanks."The Declaration

For the U.S. to achieve happiness, which is still this nation's goal, they'd need a military to protect their new-found liberties. Last Saturday evening, we celebrated the 250th birthday of our Army. It wasn't an exercine in raw power. It was more of a celebration thanking our Army for the sacrifices they've made than anything else. As usual, the Democrats' predictions were off because the Democrats' paranoia ran wild. It's like they're hard-wired to think the worst. That's their problem.
Despite Rep. Omar's wildly illogical protestations, this nation isn't a reason for Omar-level ingratitude. It's a source of inspiration.
