Tim Walz goes to Washington DC

Apparently, Tim Walz will be testifying in front of the U.S. House Oversight Committee next month. This figures to be a Democrat clown show, with J.B. Pritzker and Kathy Hochul testifying with Walz before the Committee. Personally, I'll be stocking up on popcorn and printing tickets for the show.

The reason for Walz, Pritzker and Hochul's testimony is to have them explain the logic behind their states' sanctuary city/state policies. Chairman James Comer announced that the hearing will be held on June 12.

In his statement, Chairman Comer said "Sanctuary policies only provide sanctuaries for criminal illegal aliens. Former President Biden created the worst border crisis in U.S. history, and allowed criminal illegal aliens to flood our communities. President Trump has ended this crisis, securing our borders. Yet, states like Minnesota, Illinois, and New York obstruct federal efforts to deport criminal illegal aliens."

This hearing is predictable. Walz, Pritzker and Hochul will read their prepared statements. Democrats will do their best to defend the indefensible. Republicans will poke holes in the Democrats' testimony.

“The governors of these states must explain why they are prioritizing the protection of criminal illegal aliens over the safety of U.S. citizens, and they must be held accountable,” added Chairman Comer.

Comer launched an investigation into sanctuary jurisdictions in January 2025, targeting states, counties, and cities that restrict cooperation with federal deportation efforts of illegal immigrants.

It's certain that Walz will be asked why he's fighting so hard to give illegal aliens taxpayer-subsidized health care. Expect that to be one of Gov. Walz's knucklehead moments. Don't get me wrong. He'll have a prepared answe for that question. He just won't have answers to follow-up questions. (He's not that quick on his feet.) That's likekly top be one of his combative moments.

This will be a great opportunity for Rashida Tlaib, Ayanna Pressley, Summer Lee and Jasmine Crockett to go on the offensive. OfFensive against what, I don't know but that's certain to be part of the clown show. Check out this report:

This will be a great opportunity for the GOP. They don't do as well on things like lawsuits filed in liberal courts, aka jury shopping, to slow down President Trump's deportation program. Highlighting Tim Walz's bill that extends taxpyer-funded health care to illegal aliens won't play well nationally, though it's likely to play well with the Democrats' fringe.
“Specifically, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison recently issued a formal legal opinion stating that holding an illegal alien pursuant to an ICE detainer request would constitute an unreasonable ‘seizure’ under both the Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and Article 1, Section 10 of the Minnesota Constitution,” Comer wrote.

“Moreover, Governor Tim Walz engaged in rhetoric and efforts to make Minnesota an attractive destination for illegal aliens. In 2023, Governor Walz signed legislation expanding eligibility to illegal aliens for state sponsored healthcare, Minnesota driver’s licenses, and free college tuition. Governor Walz also stated that local law enforcement should only be responsible for ‘state and local laws, not federal immigration laws.’”

Minnesota should be the next statetop receive additional scrutiny from Tom Homan's troops. Minnesota is giving illegal aliens additional benefits that they don't deserve.
