High School players sue Keith Ellison, MSHSL
Alliance Defending Freedom's role
Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a national legal organization, filed the federal lawsuit Monday on behalf of Female Athletes United (FAU), a group of Minnesota girls who say they have been forced to compete against a biologically male athlete in high school softball.
The Lawsuit
The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, claims the state’s current policy allowing males to compete in girls’ sports is discriminatory and violates Title IX, the federal law requiring equal opportunities for women in education, including athletics. This isn't Minnesota. This is the big leagues for Mr. Ellison. These judges aren't DFL operatives in black robes. Listen to the weak case Ellison has: This case will likely wind up at the Supreme Court. KAAL-TV reports this:“Minnesota is failing its female athletes. The state is putting the rights of males ahead of females, telling girls their hard work may never be enough to win and that they don’t deserve fairness and safety,” said ADF Legal Counsel Suzanne Beecher in a statement. “By sacrificing protection for female athletes, Minnesota fails to offer girls equal treatment and opportunity, violating Title IX’s provisions.”
That decision followed President Donald Trump’s signing of the executive order, Keeping Men out of Women Sports.TRANSLATION: We'll only sell out white kids with privilege (real or imagined, mostly imagined) because of our bitterness and bias.Following the signing of that executive order, AG Ellison filed a lawsuit against President Trump, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, and the United States Department of Justice.
“Trump’s burning desire to destroy trans kids and punish us for helping them live and thrive isn’t just a violation of the law. It’s a violation of Minnesota values,” Ellison said at the time. “We’re not going to sell out trans kids, or any vulnerable community, just to stay in the good graces of a lawless administration.”
It's time we talked reality. There are only 2 sexes, male and female, although this professor did her best to obfuscate:
The reality is that sex is determined at birth by what I'll call chromosome patterns. Women have 2 X chromosomes. Men have 1 X chromosome, 1 Y chromosome. What AG Ellison calls trans kids. They''re really either boys or girls. No transgirl has had their chrommosome patern changed from X-Y to X-X. It's time Mr. Ellison stopped misleading children about sexual realities. Rep. Leigh Finke is still a male. Period. That's why Ellison will lose this lawsuit.
