AOC: Democrats are above the law
For years, Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats told us that President Trump wasn't above the law. That line started disappearing when Joe Biden pardoned son Hunter. Apparently, AOC isn't feeling the love because she's insisting that her congressional colleagues who allegedly pushed around guards at the Delaney Detention Center in Newark, NJ, are above the law. AOC is quoted as saying "If anyone’s breaking the law in this situation, it’s not members of Congress, it’s the Department of Homeland Security. It’s people like Tom Homan and Secretary Kristi Noem. You lay a finger on someone, on Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman … or any of the representatives that were there, you lay a finger on them, we are going to have a problem."
If a censure resolution is brought to the House floor to discipline these Congresscritters' behavior, AOC will have a problem if she does anything more than speak against the censure resolution.
AOC, not Hakeem Jeffries, is the House Democrat Leader. She just isn't the leader by title. Hakeem Jeffries is a one-trick pony. Watch him attempt to deliver the Democrats' message at a press availability earlier this week:
Jeffries looks totally scripted. He's attempting to be evasive but he's actually looking wooden. That isn't how you grow the party. That's effective in chasing people away from the party. Apparently, Eric Swallwell thought he could intimidate Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem in this exchange: Mr. Swalwell, people don't care if the phot is doctored. The information was painstakingly gathered by multiple law enforcement agencies, then brought before multiple judges, each of whom have ruled that Mr. Abrego-Garcia is a member of MS-13, is sex traficker and a wife beater. This stunt wasn't aimed at anything other than trying to discredit President Trump. We aren't interested in Mr. Swalwell's juvenile antics. He should stop playing these childish games so he's taken seriously.
