Mark Penn: Donald Trump is moving to the middle

According to Mark Penn, Donald Trump is moving to the middle. Appearing on Special Report with Bret Baier, Baier asked Penn "Mark Penn, final word here. As we wrap up this event at Kepawan Arena, the Senate has passed the Lakin-Riley bill, 64-35, that required a number of Democrats to vote with it. Also, Secretary of State Marco Rubio received confirmation vote 99-0, so his Senate colleagues 99-0. Mark Penn, is there a chance that Democrats are going to shift and that there'll be more and Democrats, especially in red states, that realize maybe it's time to work with the Trump administration?"

Penn swiftly replied "I think that's definitely going to be the case. I think you see the politics shifting. Look, it's always Trump v. Trump. But right now, this President Trump, he is ready to take on this presidency. His administration is organized, obviously 10 times better than it was the first time. They know what they're doing, they know where the soft spots are, and he is out there gaining support among the popular will. I think he's going to move all of politics, maybe not to the right, but definitely to the center, and I think that's going to bring some Democrats with him."

The thought of Donald Trump moving to the center, especially considering his political instincts, should frighten Democrats.

In terms of Donald Trump, there isn't much middle ground. You either hate him or you worship him. What's indisputed, though, is whether he's got incredible political instincts. He's got those in overabundance. After his visit to Mar-a-Lago, Sen. Fetterman said that it was a positive experience:

Democrats better start wisening up fast. Democrats are playing games with confirming Trump's cabinet picks. It's starting to wear thin on Senate Majority LEader Thune:

Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy appears to have taken the opportunity of delaying the vote of John Ratcliffe:

Ratcliffe was passed out of Committee on a 14-3 vote. When the 51 crooked spies spoke about Hunter's laptop, John Ratcliffe issued a stinging report that said the laptop was real and the letter was a hoax. The spies' letter was a lie. The Ratcliffe letter was the truth. Now Murphy is worried Ratcliffe will cave to political pressure? Seriously?
