Donald Trump's honeymoon starts
Further, a "newly released CBS News poll on Sunday showed that a majority of voters (59%) approve of how President-elect Donald Trump is handling the transition of power." It's worth noting that President-Elect Trump has worked feverishly to name his cabinet. That's meant that he isn't grabbing all of the headlines.
It’s obvious that he's a different person than the Donald Trump of his first term. President-Elect Trump is entirely different than ‘Mean Tweets’ Trump from the first term in office. Reporters could get under ‘Mean Tweets’ Trump’s skin without much effort.
A majority of Trump voters also supported nominations such as Fox News personality and combat veteran Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense (64%), former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for Director of Health & Human Services (80%) and Republican Florida Sen. Marco Rubio for Secretary of State (75%).I wasn't aware of Zach Wamp's analysis before but it's caught my attention. Check this out: Thus far, President-Elect Trump has put together a pretty solid cabinet. Yes, Matt Gaetz wasn't a hit with the Senate but Pam Bondi definitely is a big hit. Matt Gaetz is already an afterthought. As for Trump's picks of Pete Hegseth and Tulsi Gabbard, they're unconventionaal but they aren't automatically disqualified as some Democrats have argued.
President-Elecct Trump campaigned as the change agent so people expect some turmoil from the Uniparty, aka the Establishment. It wouldn't surprise me if Marco Rubio is easily confirmed with strong bipartisan support. Meanwhile, I expect Hegseth and Gabbard will get confirmed with some bipartisan support.
President-Elect Trump's honeymoon will continue as long as he keeps making good decisions and keeping his head down. Without question, Democrats will attempt to push back hard against the newly-formed Trump administration. As long as President-Elect Trump keeps delivering on his promises, the honemoon will continue.
Let's remember that Joe Biden's honeymoon ended in Afghanistan. After that, he didn't recover. By August of this year, he'd withdrawn from the race entirely.
