The Joe Biden-Kamala Harris gut punch

For 2+ years, Americans dealt with record inflation. This month, the American people took a gut punch. When the July jobs report came in, it reported that the American economy created just 114,000. What's worse is that the June jobs report was revised downward by 27,000, from 206,000 to 179,000 jobs.

President Reagan is right. You can't be pro-jobs if you hate employers. The Biden-Harris administration hates employers because it isn't pro-Drill, Baby, Drill. It isn't pro-employer because it wants to raise taxes on employers. The Biden-Harris administration isn't pro-employer because it keeps pretending that it doesn't need to adjust its philosophy. As long as they keep buying into the Green New Deal, inflation won't get fixed. As long as they keep spending foolishly, inflation will keep hurting families. It's that simple.

This paragraph highlights just how willing the Biden-Harris administration is to deny reality:

When it comes to what is most important to people when they go to the voting booth, the economy is always the No. 1 concern. The latest Brookings Report, released before the weak jobs market came to light and inflation was the overriding economic issue, showed a whopping 65% of voters rate the economy as good during Donald Trump’s presidency as compared to 38% under the Biden-Harris administration.
The Republicans' biggest problem there is that the propagandist media will likely ignore anything substantive about VP Harris. Democrat operatives will flat-out lie about VP Harris. That's what happened this morning on @Issue with Tom Hauser, a Twin Cities political talk show. Mike Erlandson, the former DFL State Chair, responded to the GOP panelist, who said that Kamala would be weighed down by the bad decisions of the Biden-Harris administration. Erlandson replied that "it's a good thing" that they've governed so steadily that there aren't many mistaks to worry about. That's breathtakingly dishonest. Inflation hit 40-year highs. We had a recession at the start of FY2022. We're still suffering through an affordability crisis. Worst of all, we've got multiple situations that are on the verge of major regional wars thanks to Biden's appeasement strategy towards Iran and China.

It isn't likely that Harris will debate Trump. She's been too stubborn on too many issues. That isn't being forceful. That's being stubborn.

Paul Sracic, political science professor at Youngstown State University, said political strategist James Carville was right when he said “It’s the economy stupid” when he centered former President Bill Clinton’s campaign on economic issues.

“As it was then and now, it is how people feel about the economy and if their lives are better that is driving this election,” he said. "The word recession is powerful. A lot of economics is psychological. The numbers that came out on Friday is very bad news for the Harris campaign. They were touting a soft landing last week and that is not going to happen now."

Whether we're in a recession or not, inflation is too high and growth isn't robust enough. That's why Friday's jobs report stunk. Getting another 4 years of Harris policies is just more of the same. In this interview, Jason Furman talked about Trump inflation:

What inflation? In his 4 years, prices rose by less than 8% compared with prices rising (thus far) 21% under Biden. It's time we got rid of the ideologists and installed people who know what they're talking about. We literally can't afford another 4 more years of Kamalanomics.
