The MSM's slobbering review of Joe Biden's State of the Union Address

After watching the MSM slobber all over themselves, bloggers have the right to be proud of their work. If I never have to listen to another pundit's statement about managing expectations, it'll be too soon. That isn't what this is about. It's about whether the man reading the teleprompter is full of BS or filled with solutions to our biggest problems.

Thursday night, Joe Biden sounded like an angry grandpa chasing kids off his lawn. That isn't good but it worse than that. Joe Biden was filled with 1 whopper after another. The first whopper was about the economy. That's when Biden said "Four years ago next week, before I came to office, our country was hit by the worst pandemic and the worst economic crisis in a century."

It's impossible to forget the pandemic. It isn't possible to remember the "worst economic crisis in a century" because the economy barely skipped a beat. Yes, we shut the economy down for a little while. The minute it re-opened, though, it came roaring back. In Q3 of 2020, the U.S. economy grew by 33.5%. BTW, that isn't a typo. In Q4 2020, the U.S. economy grew by 4.8%. In Q1 of 2021, the U.S. economy grew by 6.5%. Does that sound like "the worst economic crisis in a century?" If it does, you might be the most gullible socialist in history.

Matt Taibbi wasn't impressed with the MSM. This is what he wrote of the spectacle:

"I can tell you the White House is very happy right now. I bet there are a lot of high fives going on right now…. The White House feels that he nailed this, that he put his critics on their heels at every turn… I think the overarching message coming out of this speech was really, game on… And the tone of it was just so classic Biden! It wasn’t polished, lofty rhetoric. It was folksy, it was personal. He was funny at times… He repeatedly put Republicans on notice. He sparred with them in the room in a way I don’t think we’ve ever seen before…"

The White House feels he nailed this? Real talk, if the job is to instantly relay the White House’s opinion on the White House’s speech, why do we need ABC? Why not cut right to a levitating Jake Sullivan head declaring, “PEOPLE OF EARTH! YOU ARE ENTHRALLED!” At least MSNBC has the sense to just cut out the middleman and hire Jen Psaki. Sorry: MSNBC had two former White House communications directors on to give reaction instructions.

Who cares what a bunch of spin meisters think about Biden's speech? That's like asking an arsonist to sit on the jury of another arsonist. It's one thing to have a pollster ask a group of undecided voters what they thought. Asking Team Biden if they think Biden hit it out of the park is a waste of airtime. Just watch Team Biden, MSNBC Campus slobber over themselves:

Comparing Biden with Harry S. is insulting to anyone with a brain.Joe Biden is the beneficiary of what Harry S. Truman built but he isn't sharp like Harry S. Truman. Joe Biden isn't like Truman because Truman doesn't have a disaster like the Afghanistan withdrawal on his presidential record. Truman doesn't have an invasion like Russia invading Ukraine on his record, either. Finally, Truman doesn't have a fiasco like Joe's open borders letting in millions of illegal aliens, a significant portion of whom are terrorists or criminals released from other countries' prisons.

So yeah, let's compare Biden's entire record with Truman's entire record. If Wimpy Joe wants a bloodbath, that's the fastest way to get into a bloodbath. Finally, notice how Joe didn't mention Biden's dementia.
