David Weiss must be terminated

Alan Dershowitz was quick to insist that David Weiss, the U.S. Attorney for Delaware and just named as the Special Counsel for the Hunter Biden investigation, wasn't a legitimate pick as Special Counsel. That isn't a controversial opinion anymore. He's got plenty of company who agree with him.

For instance, Andy McCarthy said right after the announcement that Weiss shouldn't have been picked. Just after the announcement, McCarthy said "This is a sham, there is no special counsel investigation and there is no Biden investigation. The special counsel regulations, what makes a special counsel special is that you are a lawyer who is brought in from outside the United States government. Not just outside the Justice Department, outside the government. This U.S. attorney is being appointed notwithstanding that he is an attorney who is a top official in the Biden Justice Department and Garland made clear is going to remain a top official in the Biden Justice Department."

Ed Morrissey's commentary is spot on:

This makes it more clear than ever that David Weiss should be removed as both special counsel in this case and as US Attorney in Delaware. Garland should resign for his own politically corrupt act in making Weiss special counsel in violation of the statute governing those appointments, an obvious attempt to cover up what the New York Times is exposing today. And if they won’t, well, the House has its first two targets for impeachment.
Garland is exposed as Biden's protector. Clearly, he wants as many potential counts to expire as possible. I'm betting that Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler would willingly testify that their legitimate investigations were impeded by the DOJ since they've already testified to that before Congress:

In Mr. Ziegler's testimony, he said that Weiss had been "hamstrung by the DOJ." Meanwhile, Mr. Shapley testified that he was in a meeting with Weiss where Weiss said he wasn't the final decisionmaker on who to investigate or prosecute:

When Mr. Shapley mentions Oct. 7,2022, that's a reference to the meeting when Weiss told the supervisors he didn't have the authority to make the final decision. Later, Mr. Weiss insisted that he had all the authority he needed in a letter to Sen. Lindsey Graham. Both statements can't be true. Since Weiss told a group of supervisory agents that he didn't have the authority, I'm inclined to think that's the truth. His statement to Sen. Graham sounds like a CYA statement.

Since AG Garland broke the law and because he's lied to Congress, he should be forced to resign or be terminated. Since Weiss has lied to Congress and has impeded the Hunter Biden/Joe Biden investigation, he should be terminated immediately. There's no justification for actions. There's no justification for his lack of profeessionalism. There's especially no justification for him not prosecuting Hunter on felony tax evasion charges.
