Pregnancy centers fight Tim Walz, Keith Ellison, DFL, funding cuts

If you thought that pro-choice activists and pro-abortion activists were the same thing, then reading this article is essential. The subject of the article is Jennifer Meyer, the Executive Director of Options for Women. In the article, Meyer is quoted as saying "I became pregnant and had that moment of decision: ‘Oh my gosh, what do I do? Should I have an abortion and not tell anyone?’ That includes my parents, my boyfriend, anyone and just move on with my life as planned. It was not something I believed in, but it could have been an answer." Ultimately, Meyer chose to keep her baby. The result? "We had a child. That child now has my first granddaughter."

The article talks about Options for Women's history. In the article, it says "Options for Women has been in the community for 33 years. We serve low-income, unstable housing, difficult-situation women and their families through the pregnancy journey."

Now pregnancy centers are literally getting attacked. "Today, Meyer feels forced to justify her work after months of post-Roe turmoil. In Minnesota and across the country, centers like hers are under attack. We’ve had to make sure people who walk into this building are protected. We’ve had to make upgrades to our facility. It made it harder to just do our job. And our job is to serve the women who walk through the door. I'm sure their end game is just that we’re not here."

This is how sick 'moderate' DFL Gov. Tim Walz is:

Gov. Tim Walz has proposed cutting the roughly $3 million in state funds that go to 33 sites like Meyer’s each year. Gov. Tim Pawlenty started the Positive Alternatives grant program in 2005.

That money accounts for nearly 40% of Meyer’s budget. The program exists to "support, encourage and assist women in carrying their pregnancies to term and in caring for their babies after birth."

Walz’s budget proposal objects to the fact that grantees are explicitly prohibited from "counseling on abortion and cannot refer pregnant people to providers or organizations that perform abortions."

Add to that the fact that Walz already signed the PRO Act, which I've accurately nicknamed the DFL Pro-Infanticide Act. Gov. Pawlenty started this program to provide an alternative to abortion. This website provides an overview of Positive Alternatives:
Responding to identified community needs, Positive Alternatives (PA) grantees provide pregnancy, parenting and family support activities and services. Working in collaboration with other area resources, the grantees provide services and supports to assist women at what could otherwise be a challenging time. PA grants support healthy pregnancy and parenting outcomes through the provision of services such as prenatal care, nutritional education, and parenting classes. The PA program funds activities and support networks that work to resolve the financial pressures that an unplanned pregnancy can cause such as lack of medical insurance, food resources, or housing. The services offered through PA grants assists women by focusing on long-term solutions to self-sufficiency including helping with achieving education and employment goals.
Gov. Walz and the DFL have proven with their votes and signatures that they insist on fully funding and supporting Minnesota's abortion factories. According to this, Gov. Walz and the DFL want to shut down or dramatically restrict women's alternatives to abortion. That's what evil looks like.

Gov. Walz isn't the only DFL politician pushing against healthy pregnancies:

The DFL is, in my eyes, the Party of Death. There aren't many moderates left in the DFL.

Proof that Tim Walz doesn't care about fraud or other crime

Anyone that thinks that Tim Walz, Minnesota's DFL governor, doesn't care about preventing crime or fraud hasn't read this article . Alpha News is reporting that "The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) has confirmed that Dylan Adams, the fiscal policy analyst caught on video vandalizing Teslas in Minneapolis, is still employed by the state — meaning Minnesota taxpayers are footing the bill for his salary. In response to Alpha News inquiries, a DHS spokesperson said: "Dylan Adams is a current employee." Apparently, the Walz administration doesn't care that it's employing a vandal in its Department of Human Services. As for whether Adams "has faced consequences for racking up more than $21,000 in damage during work hours , the agency offered little transparency.
