FBI searching Joe Biden's Rehoboth Beach vacation home

BREAKING: The FBI is searching Joe Biden's Rehoboth Beach vacation home. According to NBC News, the "FBI searched President Joe Biden’s beach house outside Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, on Wednesday morning amid the ongoing classified documents investigation, two sources familiar with the situation told NBC News."

Biden's personal attorney, Bob Bauer, issued a statement, saying "Under DOJ’s standard procedures, in the interests of operational security and integrity, it sought to do this work without advance public notice, and we agreed to cooperate. The search today is a further step in a thorough and timely DOJ process we will continue to fully support and facilitate. We will have further information at the conclusion of today’s search."

Notice that Bauer didn't say whether the FBI told Bauer and Biden that they were going into Biden's Rehoboth Beach home with or without Biden's consent. It's possible that the FBI is actually doing the right thing and doing its job. I've often said that Democrats always do the right thing ... when it's the only option left. This might be one of those times when the walls closed in and the FBI didn't have other options left.

Here's part of an earlier statement from Bauer:

The president’s personal attorneys located a potential record bearing classified markings at the Wilmington residence, among stored materials inside a room adjacent to the garage. Once the president’s personal attorneys found this document, the president’s personal attorneys left the document where it was found and suspended their search of the specific space where it was located. Following the search at the Wilmington residence, the attorneys proceeded to the Rehoboth residence and conducted a search there. No potential records were identified at the Rehoboth Beach residence, and the attorneys returned to Washington, D.C., late in the evening.
It's possible that the public shamed the FBI/Christopher Wray into doing their jobs. Similarly, it's possible that they're putting immense pressure on Merrick Garland and forcing him to do his job. Jonathan Turley opined in this interview what might be happening:

Something jumped out at me from Bauer's statement during that interview that hadn't before:
it sought to do this work without advance public notice, and we agreed to cooperate.
Saying that "we agreed to cooperate" is unusual wording. It's apparent that the FBI was going to search Rehoboth Beach with or without Biden's consent. Saying that "we agreed to cooperate" is virtually irrelevant.
