What voters told politicians last Tuesday

Terry McAuliffe's campaign focused on COVID-19, the teachers unions and Donald Trump, though not necessarily in that exact order. The message voters sent was that they're worried about inflation, their kids' education but that they aren't thinking much about Donald Trump or COVID-19.

While parents pay attention to COVID-19, it's something that they're keeping track of. It isn't anything that they're frightened of anymore. In people's minds, the pandemic is behind us. That's a stark contrast with the Biden administration, which treats the pandemic as though we don't have treatments, therapeutics or vaccines.

The Biden administration also isn't listening to all of the science. The administration doesn't take into account natural immunity or herd immunity.  To Dr. Fauci, the only immunity comes through vaccination.

People are paying attention to inflation, which is why their paychecks don't buy as much as a year ago. That's playing out at the grocery store and at the gas station. Each visit to these places reminds people of the Trump economy and how much they liked the benefits of energy independence.

Kellyanne Conway nailed it in this interview:

While the Democratic nominee for governor, Terry McAuliffe, insisted the election was all about Donald J. Trump and patted his party on the back for its COVID policies, voters here gave him a wake-up call. Virginians voted on what they think the next problems are: the economy, their children’s education, crime, and definitely not COVID.
This is what happens when politicians don't listen to voters. I've said from Inauguration Day that Democrats haven't listened to voters. I need to amend that statement. Democrats haven't listened to voters because they aren't interested in the people's agenda. I know that this will be controversial but here goes. Democrats like Joe Biden, AOC, Bernie Sanders and Nancy Pelosi are most interested in transforming the US into Europe. In the strongest terms possible, I don't want that. I prefer the United States to be like the United States, the greatest nation in the history of this planet.

Why would I want to be a nation where economic growth is limited, upward mobility is stunted and where they don't have anything like our Bill of Rights or Constitution? That isn't a political system to be emulated. That's a political system worthy of being ignored.

Voters sent politicians a strong, clear message Tuesday night. Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi aren't interested in that message. They have an ideological checklist to finish. They don't care what the people want. More on this in a future post.

Proof that Tim Walz doesn't care about fraud or other crime

Anyone that thinks that Tim Walz, Minnesota's DFL governor, doesn't care about preventing crime or fraud hasn't read this article . Alpha News is reporting that "The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) has confirmed that Dylan Adams, the fiscal policy analyst caught on video vandalizing Teslas in Minneapolis, is still employed by the state — meaning Minnesota taxpayers are footing the bill for his salary. In response to Alpha News inquiries, a DHS spokesperson said: "Dylan Adams is a current employee." Apparently, the Walz administration doesn't care that it's employing a vandal in its Department of Human Services. As for whether Adams "has faced consequences for racking up more than $21,000 in damage during work hours , the agency offered little transparency.
