Defining COVID-19 herd immunity

Dr. Marty Makary isn't buying into Dr. Rochelle Walensky's dire predictions. Dr. Makary's appearance on The Story changed the trajectory of the COVID-19 storyline for the forseeable future. During the interview, he said "Look at the facts: About 57 percent of adults are vaccinated and approximately half of unvaccinated people have natural immunity from prior infection. That’s why US cases have been plummeting, down 31 percent over the past 18 days." Facts are stubborn things. Spin doesn't displace the truth when the truth is stated confidently and repeatedly. Dr. Makary had additional information to share with the people:
Well, unfortunately, we have this perception now that's being created by some public health leaders that we need to reach total eradication. We're not gonna get to total absolute risk elimination. That is a false goal and quite honestly it’s being used now to manipulate the public. We heard today again from our public health leaders that if we get to 70% vaccination, then we can start seeing restrictions removed. That’s dishonest. Most of the country is at herd immunity. Other parts will get there later this month. San Francisco had 12 cases yesterday, most asymptomatic. What do you call that? I call that herd immunity. And I think what's happening is our public health leaders are dismissing natural immunity from prior infection, which changes the path to get to more population immunity.
When people have this type of information, it's virtually impossible to manipulate them or frighten them. People are exhasuted from the pandemic. They're seeing 'the experts' get things wrong more often than they get things right. Drs. Walensky and Fauci lead that category, mostly because they're seen as mixing partisanship with their science. It's time for Dr. Fauci to retire outright. He started as a talented scientist. Now, he just loves hearing the sound of his voice to the point that he's on TV more than President Trump was. Dr. Walensky should be terminated. Period. Full stop. Unfortunately, that won't happen because she's proven that she's easily intimidated by AFT and other special interest groups. This administration would be nothing if not a return of The Swamp. Finally, Joe Biden contributes daily to the public's skepticism with his mask manipulation. Apparently, he doesn't realize how stupid he looks wearing a mask outdoors. Then there's this stupidity: There's no explaining that type of stupidity.

Proof that Tim Walz doesn't care about fraud or other crime

Anyone that thinks that Tim Walz, Minnesota's DFL governor, doesn't care about preventing crime or fraud hasn't read this article . Alpha News is reporting that "The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) has confirmed that Dylan Adams, the fiscal policy analyst caught on video vandalizing Teslas in Minneapolis, is still employed by the state — meaning Minnesota taxpayers are footing the bill for his salary. In response to Alpha News inquiries, a DHS spokesperson said: "Dylan Adams is a current employee." Apparently, the Walz administration doesn't care that it's employing a vandal in its Department of Human Services. As for whether Adams "has faced consequences for racking up more than $21,000 in damage during work hours , the agency offered little transparency.
