Democrats badly misread Republicans, economic data

Image
It's amazing how bad Democrats misread a room. For instance, take this Politico article as proof of the Democrats' inability to make sense of their landslide defeat. In the article, it says "The economy Donald Trump said was broken? All it took was him winning, and consumer sentiment among Republicans soared. Elections? Suddenly Republicans are on board with the reality that they’re secure. House Speaker Mike Johnson said he saw no evidence of fraud in the 2024 campaign. And the media landscape? Viewership of Fox News has surged since Trump’s win despite his harsh criticism of the network in the run up to Nov. 5." It isn't that Republicans think everything is fixed. It's that we're confident that the solution is right around the corner. Most importantly, we think that we're getting rid of the problem in the near future. Drill, Baby, Drill has replaced high gas prices that've started dropping the past 2 weeks. UPDATE: I just spoke with an industry ...

Proof that Bob Casey is a characterless dirtbag

Image
By now, most people have noticed that Bob Casey is a characterless dirtbag. This past week, Democrats in Bucks and Montgomery counties just outside Philadelphia, PA publicly ignored a court order from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court "ruled that ballots that lack required signatures and dates are not allowed to be included in official results." Despite that ruling, Bucks County Commissioner Diane Ellis-Marseglia, a Democrat, said last week "I think we all know that precedent by a court doesn’t matter anymore in this country. People violate laws anytime they want. So, for me, if I violate this law, it’s because I want a court to pay attention. There’s nothing more important than counting votes." Actually, if she's a Democrat, there's nothing more important to her than doing whatever it takes to steal elections for Democrats. If that means counting illegal votes to help Sen. Bob Casey steak his election, that's Commissioner D...

Is the DFL the party of election cheating?

Image
Last night, a friend sent me a statement from Rep. Krista Knudsen. Rep. Knudsen is a Republican who represents Lake Shore. in northern Minnesota. Rep. Knudsen issued a statement that highlights how dishonest the DFL allegedly is. The first part of Rep. Knudsen's statement starts with "I want to thank the Hubbard County Auditor for their work to catch this individual and for their vigilance in protecting the integrity of our election," Knudsen said. "This is yet another reason we need voter ID and for Secretary of State Steve Simon to join Republicans in making election law changes that will put a stop to the numerous problems we've seen throughout this election cycle." Republicans should make election integrity their priority, along with income tax reform and getting spending under control. The spending orgy from 2023 has returned to bite us with a projected budget deficit. Further 'investments' are too expensive. Besides that, DFL 'investments...

SD-14 BPOU Initiates Post-election Audit

Image
Matt Benda of the Peterson, Kolker, Haedt & Benda, Ltd. Law Firm issued a press release regarding the SD-14 GOP BPOU. Specifically, the statement announces that the SD-14 GOP BPOU Executive Committee voted to "proceed with an Election Process and Compliance review of the 2024 election in Senate District 14. Senate District 14 covers the Minnesota counties of Stearns, Benton, and Sherburne in the St. Cloud area." I've chronicled on this blog multiple unexplained oddities about the very close race for House District 14B between challenger Sue Ek and incumbent Dan Wolgamott. In this article represents my first article on the subject of the race. This post digs into why an audit is required to figure out what happened in updating the vote totals after 100% of the precincts had reported their votes. This article raises multiple additional irregularities surrounding the reporting of the story by 2 different Twin Cities media outlets. These irregularities aren't abou...

House Democrats are certifiably insane

Image
I'd never heard of Rep. Wiley Nickel before today. Now I'm wishing I'd never heard of that idiot. Rep. Nickel launched into a short rant (at least in this Twitter video ) that was filled with more srawman arguments than Barack Obama used during his administration. That's saying something! He opened his diatribe by saying "If Trump attempts to weaponize the justice system against his political opponents, we could see Sen. Adam Schiff (California), as our shadow attorney general, arguing against replacing our independent prosecutors with Trump loyalists." It went downhill after that, if that's possible. Next, Nickel said "If Trump seeks to eliminate the Department of Education, Congresswoman Johana Hayes, a former Teacher of the Year, could step up as shadow Education Secretary to loudly defend public education in the United States. If Trump orders Marco Rubio to hand over Ukraine and much of Eastern Europe over to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Cong...

Donald Trump to nominate Doug Burgum as Interior Secretary

Image
Since before the election, I've thought Doug Burgum would be President-Elect Trump's Energy Secretary. Thursday night, it was announced that I was wrong. At an America First Policy Institute event, President-Elect Trump said that Burgum would be nominated to be Trump's Interior Secretary . Specifically, President-Elect Trump said "We have a big announcement, and I won’t tell you, it’s — I won’t tell you the name of his, the exact name. I think he’s an incredible person, got an unbelievably wonderful wife named Kathryn. So, I won’t tell you — his name might be something like 'Burgum.' Burgum." Then Trump said "He’s from North Dakota. He’s going to be announced tomorrow for a very big position." That's when he said that Burgum would be nominated to be his Interior Secretary. Burgum is most valuable leading the Interior Department becuase Interior has a slew of regulatory agencies in it. If the governor of North Dakota has done battle with, it...

When Donald Trump picked Marco Rubio to be his Secretary of State

Image
When ABC News reported that President-Elect Trump had picked Sen. Marco Rubio, (R-FL), to be his Secretary of State, Sen. Rubio became the most likely Cabinet appointee likely to get confirmed with overwhelming bipartisan support. Sen. Rubio's foreign policy credentials are impeccable. His love of Israel is unwavering. His belief in President-Elect Trump's peace through strength policies is part of Sen. Rubio's DNA. According to the article, "President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday officially shared his intention to nominate Republican Sen. Marco Rubio for secretary of state. Rubio, 53, has served in the Senate since 2011. The Florida Senator is currently the vice-chair of the Senate Select Committee on Foreign Intelligence and also sits on the chamber's Committee on Foreign Relations." When it comes to credentials, Sen. Rubio's are similar to Mike Pompeo, Rubio's predecessor. If you're looking for someone more qualified, pack a big lunch pail. ...
